๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐—ž โ€” Participants from various departments gathered at the Passi City College Function Hall to showcase their creativity and artistic skills for the ASEAN Poster Making Contest, embodying the theme โ€œNavigating our Future, Togetherโ€ on August 17, Monday.

The Poster Making Contest is among the highlights of the collegeโ€™s annual ASEAN Anniversary Celebration, bringing together talented participants from different departments as they express their ideas, perspectives, and creativity through art.

Furthermore, the results for the said competition will be announced on August 19, 2026, at the Dr. Helmar E. Aguilar Gym during the ASEAN celebration program.

Beauty, intelligence, and confidence took center stage as the candidates of Mr. and Ms. Face of Academic Year 2026 2027, proudly represented their respective departments in a celebration of excellence and pride.

Representatives from the School of Information and Communication Technology (SOICT), School of Business Management (SOBM), School of Teacher Education (SOTE), School of Criminal Justice (SOCJ), and School of Hospitality Management (SOHM) captivated the audience with their remarkable poise, charisma, and determination. Each candidate showcased not only elegance and grace but also the values, talents, and aspirations that define their respective academic disciplines.

Emerging victorious once again, the School of Hospitality Management successfully defended its legacy of excellence and claimed the crown.

The event served as a reminder that every candidate was a winner, representing their respective schools with pride, dignity, and distinction. Mr. and Ms. Face of Academic Year 2026 2027 was not only a competition but also a showcase of the remarkable talents, aspirations, and potential of the institution's future leaders.

โ€ŽPassi City College conducted a Student's Developmental Symposium that entails awareness, social protection and responsible digital influence on August 13, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, were students participated in discussions of HIV Awareness, Cybersecurity and Digital Citizenship, as well as the college's student policies. The symposium aimed to equip students with practical knowledge that they can apply in their daily lives and online interactions.

โ€ŽThe symposium opened with a discussion on Human Immunodieficiency Virus (HIV) Awareness its prevention, testing, treatment and ending stigma. Mr. Ryan Escala the resource speaker explained that HIV is a virus that weakens the body's immune system, making it more vulnerable to infections if left untreated. He also emphasized that people living with HIV deserve respect, acceptance, and equal treatment rather than discrimination. Students are also encouraged to respond sensitive issues with empathy, respect and undestanding.

โ€ŽFollowing the health awareness session, Mr. Rex Vincent Degabaton led the discussion on Cybersecurity and Digital Citizenship. He emphasized the importance of identifying Artifical Intelligence (AI) generated content and practicing responsible content creation. He reminded students to become more responsible digital citizens by understanding the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, and practicing caution and accountability in their online activities.

โ€ŽThe symposium also featured an orientation which includes norms and code of conduct and guidance, policies, rules and regulations of the school. This reminded the students of the standards expected from every Passi City College Student, emphasizing discipline, accountability, and professionalism.

โ€ŽThe symposium highlighted the importance of awareness, empathy, and responsibility among the student body. During the closing program, College Administrator and College President, Dr. Janice Jennifer P. Palmares, encouraged students to put the lessons they had learned into practice with integrity and accountability. The program concluded at 5:30 pm, with students leaving the venue equipped with new knowledge and practical lessons they can apply both inside and outside the campus.

Passi City College officially welcomed its students through the Studentsโ€™ General Orientation held this morning, August 13, 2026, at the City of Passi Arena. The activity brought together students, faculty, personnel, and student leaders as the college prepared everyone for another meaningful academic year.

The orientation provided students with a glimpse of what lies ahead for the academic year. The program featured the introduction of PCC administrators, faculty members, personnel's, and student government officers, along with important reminders on school policies, guidelines, student responsibilities, and the various services offered by the college.

College Administrator/College President, Dr. Janice Jennifer P. Palmares also delivered a message to the student body, emphasizing the importance of responsibility, active participation, and making the most of the opportunities that come with being part of the PCC community.

More than an orientation, the gathering served as a starting point for students to connect with the PCC community, become familiar with the people and resources around them, and prepare for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

With renewed awareness, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to excellence, Passi City College begins another academic year with its students ready to learn, participate, and make meaningful contributions to the college community.

Today, the Passi City College community gathers in unity to officially commence the Flag Raising Ceremony and the Opening of ASEAN Month 2026. This meaningful occasion marks not only the beginning of a new week but also our collective commitment to celebrating the spirit of regional solidarity, cultural diversity, and mutual cooperation among the nations of Southeast Asia.

It's more than a ceremonial gathering, this event reminds us of our shared commitment to patriotism, regional solidarity, and the values that connect the ASEAN community. As we raise our flag with pride, we also celebrate the vision of a stronger, more united Southeast Asia.
