A child changing their mind is not always a sign that they are giving up. Sometimes, it is a sign that they are learning. 🌱

Children’s play is filled with exploration, imagination, and moments of discovery. When they shift from one activity to another, they may be testing new ideas, responding to their environment, or simply following where their curiosity leads them.

By giving children the freedom to explore without rushing them to finish, we help them build confidence, independence, and trust in their own thinking

Today, we remember Ninoy Aquino and the courage he showed in standing for what he believed in. 🇵🇭

May his story remind us that courage, hope, and love of country are values we can begin nurturing even in our youngest children.

Even on a rainy day, our little learners showed up ready to play and explore! 🌧️💙

From their cozy homes to our Zoom classroom, they mixed, poured, experimented, and created their own little rain, all while staying safe and dry at home.

Different space, same curious little hands, excited voices, and happy learning. 😊 Onsite or online, we find ways to keep the play and discovery going.

A big thank you to our Playschool parents for preparing the materials and joining in. You helped make our online day feel just as special. 💙

Rain or shine, learning continues and so does the fun. 🌱

Rainy days like these remind us how much a little preparation can help. 🌧️💙

Our Otter is all set with an umbrella and boots, and we hope our ELLabs families are keeping safe and dry too.

Keep phones charged, emergency numbers handy, and a few familiar things nearby for the little ones: a favorite book, comfort toy, or their own little flashlight can help them feel safe and settled when the weather gets rough.

Stay warm, stay dry, and take care, everyone. We’ll continue to keep an eye on the weather and share updates as needed. 💙

🌧️ Rainy day. Kids at home. Now what? 😅

Rainy days with little ones can feel very long. And no, you don’t need to have an activity planned for every hour.

Sometimes a few bowls, an empty box, some paper, or things you already have around the house are enough.

Give them something interesting to explore, then give them time to figure out what they can do with it. You might be surprised by what they come up with.

And when you hear “I’m bored!”, you don’t always have to fix it right away. Sometimes boredom is exactly where a new game, an idea, or a little bit of imagination begins. 💙

We put together some simple rainy-day play ideas for ages 1 to 5, using mostly things you may already have at home.

There’s something about a Filipino fiesta that children naturally love: the colors, the music, the games, and all the little traditions we grew up with.

It’s a gentle and fun introduction to Filipino culture, giving our little learners a chance to discover our music, games, stories, food, and traditions through play.

And somewhere between all the fun and discovery, we hope they begin to feel a little more connected to the culture and traditions that are uniquely ours. 💙

What started as a weather suspension turned into a cozy little gathering online, screens full of smiling faces, superhero capes, and a special guest seal. Somewhere between the giggles and the colorful show and tell, our exploration of colors and favorites continued right where it left off.

We're reminded that learning doesn't need four walls. It just needs curious little minds and people who show up for them, rain or shine.

Grateful for a class full of color today, in every sense of the word. 💙

The first few days of school always look a little different for every child. 💙

Some walk right in and can't wait to explore.

Some hold a parent's hand a little longer before they're ready.

And both are perfectly okay.

These first days aren't just about starting school. They're about getting to know a new place, new faces, new routines, and slowly realizing, "I think I'm safe here."

So we don't rush it.

We let children take their time, wander from shelf to shelf, ask questions, observe, and explore at their own pace.

Because sometimes, that's the learning.

Thank you to every family who trusted us with those first mornings. It's a privilege to be part of such an important milestone.
