The Department of Education (DepEd) has issued an Order amending Paragraph 15-A of Section VI (Enrolment Procedures) of DepEd Order (DO) No. 47, s. 2016, as amended by DO No. 20, s. 2018. The updated guidelines are as follows:
Sta. Rosa Catholic School will accept children for Kindergarten in accordance with the following provisions, starting School Year 2026โ2027:
๐๐ด๐ฒ ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ป: Learners must be five (5) years old by October 31 of the school year. However, the school may consider learners who will turn five (5) years old between November 1 and December 31, provided that the learner shall:
๐ถ. Have completed an Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program for one (1) school year. Parents or legal guardians must submit a copy of the Certificate of Completion/Attendance from a public or private Child Development Center (CDC) or Learning Center (LC) recognized or permitted by the appropriate authority; or
๐ถ๐ถ. Undergo the Philippine Early Childhood Development (ECD) Checklist during the enrollment period until the first week of the school year. This ensures that the learner is developmentally ready for Kindergarten. The checklist will be administered by the Kindergarten teachers of the receiving school, and the results will serve as the basis for admission. The completed checklist shall also become part of the learnerโs school records.
