May isang tinig na hindi kailanman pinatahimik ng takot—isang tinig na isinilang mula sa pag-ibig sa bayan at handang ialay maging ang sariling buhay. 🎗️

Sa gitna ng isang panahong mahigpit na nilimitahan ang kalayaan, tumindig si Ninoy Aquino bilang tinig ng mga Pilipinong naghahangad at nakikibaka para sa demokrasya, kalayaan, at katarungan.

Ngayong ipinagdiriwang natin ang Ninoy Aquino Day, ating alalahanin hindi lamang ang marangal na buhay at matatag na paninindigan ng isang bayaning piniling manindigan sa kabila ng panganib, kundi pati na rin ang panatilihing buhay sa ating mga puso ang diwang Pilipino—ang katapangan na hindi natitinag sa harap ng pagsubok, ang tapang na manindigan para sa kung ano ang tama at makatarungan, at ang pag-asang mangarap ng mas mabuting bukas para sa bayan.

Sa ating sariling panahon, piliin nating maging tinig para sa mga hindi naririnig, maging sandigan ng mga nangangailangan, at maging bahagi ng paghubog ng isang bayang higit na malaya, makatarungan, at nagkakaisa.

THE DELIVERANCE FOR TYPHOON AND CALAMITIES

Almighty Father, we raise our hearts to You in gratitude for the wonders of creation of which we are part, for Your providence that sustains us in our needs, and for your wisdom that guides the course of the universe.

We acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of creation. We have not been good stewards of nature. We have confused Your command to subdue the earth.

The environment is made to suffer our wrongdoings and now we reap the harvest of our abuse & indifference. Global warming is upon us. Typhoons, floods, volcanic eruption and other calamities occur in increasing number & intensity.

We turn to You our loving Father and beg forgiveness for our sins. We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard-earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made. We beseech You to inspire us all to grow into responsible stewards of Your creation and generous neighbors to those in need.

Amen.

In view of the Yellow Rainfall Warning, classes in the Basic Education Department are suspended today, August 17, 2026. To ensure the safe and orderly release of students, a staggered dismissal will be implemented as follows:

Grade 1–6: 11:00 AM
Grade 7–10:11:30 AM
Grade 11–12:12:00 NN

Parents and guardians are advised to pick up their children promptly and exercise caution while traveling.
