Greetings, hard-working medical student! 🩺

Do you study using a laptop, desktop, or tablet, 💻🖥️📱? Or prefer textbooks and coffee? 📚☕️ Has your body been feeling the effects of long study hours—like pain or discomfort in your neck, wrist, or lower back?

If so, you're not alone—and we want to hear from you!
We are 3rd-year medical students from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health conducting a study on the impact of gadget use on self-perceived RSI symptoms (neck, wrist, lower back) among medical students in Metro Manila.

As a 1st- to 3rd-year medical student in Metro Manila, you’re our ideal participant. Your insights can help shape future interventions to improve physical study spaces and prevent long-term injuries.

This 5-10 minute survey covers:
✅ Basic demographic information such as biological s*x, age, medical school, year level, and mode of learning (fully onsite, fully online, and hybrid)
✅ The devices that one uses for studying
✅ The average duration of use for the aforementioned devices
✅ The usual position of one’s neck, wrist, and lower back while studying
✅ One’s experience with any form of discomfort in the neck, wrist, and lower back
All data will remain confidential and accessed only by the researchers and our faculty adviser. Participation is low-risk, and you can withdraw at any time without penalty.
As a thank-you, 5 participants will win ₱300 GCash, and 1 will win ₱500 GCash through a raffle.
