From Color Chaos to Calm Circles: A Journey of Growth

When we first met this student, he loved painting—but he would often mix all the colors together until they turned into one brownish-gray shade. Because of this, the beauty and details of his work were hard to see.

Today, he recreated Squares with Concentric Circles with so much patience and intention. Instead of mixing all the paints together, he carefully worked on each circle one by one, paying attention to the colors and giving each space its own place.

This activity took him almost an hour to finish, and throughout the whole process, he stayed focused and determined. Every circle shows not only creativity, but also growth in patience, self-control, attention, and purposeful work.

More than a painting, this is evidence of development. 🤍

We’d like to inform our Living Learning Homeschool families that we will be starting our classes earlier than the official calendar—June 15 💛

This adjustment allows us to better serve you this school year. With the growing number of students, our teachers will have enough time to carefully prepare each student’s portfolio and encode grades—so no one has to rush during submission season.

Since we meet 4x a week (instead of 5), starting earlier also gives us the margin to pace lessons well and keep a steady, manageable flow throughout the year.

We’ve also noticed that many of our homeschool families take longer vacations during the school year. By beginning earlier, you’ll have more freedom to enjoy these breaks without feeling behind—maximizing one of the best benefits of homeschooling: flexibility.
