Economist George Manzano warned that the Philippines could face more economic difficulties if the U.S. does not continue giving tariff exemptions under Section 122.

He explained that this could hurt exports like semiconductors and some agricultural products.

Manzano emphasized that, as a small player in U.S. trade, the Philippines does not pose a risk of unfair trade practices or intellectual property violations.
