PRIMARY FOCUS
The Network Administrator role is to be part of the team that provides operational support for systems and services in our evolving network and telecommunications infrastructure
In addition to direct operational responsibilities, the selected candidate will participate in developing the operational models, processes and procedures required to maintain and support systems for our organization.
The successful candidate needs to be able to meet our high standards for quality, versatility and integrity while being able to adhere to our tight deadlines and time constraints
The Network Administrator reports directly to the Network Team Leader
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position reports:
Directly to the Network Team Leader
Indirectly, will work with other members of the CW Retail business during the course of their day to day duties
The person must be comfortable with:

Working and liaising with people from a diverse range of multicultural backgrounds
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ongoing maintenance and administration of assigned systems
Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within the designated areas of responsibility.
Assist with ex*****on of projects related to areas of responsibility.
Developing, configuring and maintaining networks and network related systems.
Ownership of telecommunications infrastructure
Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure procedures, processes, designs and builds.
TEAMWORK AND RELATIONSHIPS
Work closely with other IT department functions to deliver exceptional services across the business
Establish and maintain strong relationships with both key stakeholders and vendors.
Demonstrate teamwork and foster good communication with departmental/ functional colleagues as well as other staff and management
Promote and demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude
Help build strong team relationships.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that the highest standard of privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times and practices are in line with relevant legislation.
When required, undertake additional projects or activities as directed by management.
Act in accordance with all Group policies and procedures.
Take all reasonable care for their own and others safety and wellbeing while at work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - MANDATORY
5+ years’ experience in Network & Telecommunications support
CCNP or equivalent level certification
Advanced knowledge of networking concepts: subnetting, routing protocols, data centre switching
Good working knowledge of network & telecommunications management and performance tuning
Advanced knowledge with networking services: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, Syslog
Knowledge with administrating and managing corporate firewalls
Understanding ITIL and deployment/release processes
Proven experience in large and complex corporate networks
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - DESIRABLE
Knowledge of Software Defined WAN technologies
Experience in managing enterprise VoIP telephony. Mitel/ShoreTel preferred
Knowledge of Aruba Clearpass or other Aruba products
Knowledge of Dell Switches
Knowledge of SolarWinds network management toolset
Knowledge of VMWare NSX
Knowledge of VMWare ESX

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Great organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage and prioritise tasks
