26 February 2026 — Becoming: Creating Your First Industry-Ready Portfolio

Thank you to the Benilde Animation Program and Sir Patrick Astilla for welcoming us and for creating a space where talented students and emerging professional artists can grow. 💚 It was a pleasure sharing insights on how artists can refine their work and prepare portfolios that open doors to professional opportunities.

We also extend our thanks to Wacom Philippines for visiting and sharing the latest Movink products with the students.

🇵🇭 Artist Spotlight: Asher Ben Alpay

From building his foundation in design to working internationally, Ash Ben has established himself by creating amazing works for Atomhawk Canada, Moon Pillar Studios, M2 Animation, Blindspot Games, Riot Inc., Warner Brothers, and Lego, and is currently a freelance Senior Concept Artist for Dual R Studios.

Among his credited works is contribution to Voltes V: Legacy ⚡ — the Filipino live-action adaptation of the classic anime, developed with post-production and VFX support from Riot Inc. and approved by Toei Japan. He worked on a project for Warhammer TV, and also has several Filipino-inspired works, such as New Damascus PD and Bakunawa's Prison.

With more than 5 years of experience, Asher emphasizes that success is not built on skill alone. Here are selected works from his amazing portfolio, along with insights for aspiring artists in the industry!
