Endo ay ibig sabihin galing sa loob.

Cannabinoid naman ang chemical.

System ay tinatawag na network.

Isipin mo ang katawan natin parang smart home.

May thermostat, may ilaw, may alarm.

Ang trabaho ng ECS ay i-balance lahat.

Hindi sobra, hindi kulang.

Tinatawag din siyang Master Regulator System dahil halos lahat ng major function hinahawakan niya.

Endocannabinoids ay ang sarili nating "susi".

Ang pinaka-sikat ay Anandamide at 2-AG.

Ginagawa sila ng katawan natin on-demand.

Receptors naman ay ang "pintuan".

Dalawa sa main.

CB1 nasa utak at nerves.

CB2 nasa immune system at katawan.

Kaya may "high" at pain relief.

Tama ba kap?

Built-in na yan satin.

"From Seed to Sovereignty" isn’t just a slogan — it’s a movement. šŸŒ±šŸ

"The Green Buffalo" tells the story of the Lower Sioux Indian Community as they reclaim their future by growing, processing, and building with h**p on their own land.

Dubbed the new buffalo, h**p is helping them create healthy homes, green jobs, and lasting self-reliance.

This October, the Lower Sioux will share that journey on a global stage as proud co-hosts of the 13th International H**p Building Symposium — the world’s leading event for h**p construction.

Watch their story now, then join us in Minnesota to see how they’re building a future rooted in culture, sustainability, and innovation.

Progressive Minds šŸ‡¹šŸ‡ Progressive Country.

This picture from Thailand Chang stadium at Burirum province.

It was government that gave these plants to their citizens.

Hoping that this happens to the Philippines also in due time.

Akala ko.

Akala nyo.

Akala nating lahat.

21 years. 300+ seizures a day.

Ngayon complete seizure freedom.

That’s not just a birthday post.

That’s a miracle you fought for.

You didn’t give up on him.

You became his advocate.

His researcher.

His Mummy with a warrior heart.

And Billy?

He fought so good.

Look at him now.

21 yrs. old

Dreams coming true.

This is why we talk about cannabis research.

Not for "highs".

For this.

For Mommies who were out of options.

Billy turned 21!

I have been waiting for 21yrs to share this post with you all and knowing I have been waiting that long and finally getting to say it brings a tear to my eye.

A number of years ago I was offered palliative care for my son because he was having seizures multiple times a day (by multiple, I’m talking about as much as 300+ seizures in one day.)
I was told it was his new baseline after findings on his EEG revealing seizure activity as frequent as every two minutes coming from ā€œall over his brain. Lighting up like a birthday cakeā€ they said.

I was sent home from the hospital with my son in his car seat still seizing, because there were no new meds to try and no new choices for his team of doctors to implement.
I couldn’t stomach the thought of palliative care so I took my little boy home to die and while he slept I scoured the globe to find something, anything to keep him alive.

That search led to Prescription Cannabis.

Today my beautiful boy is celebrating 21 yrs on this earth and complete seizure freedom.

I wish you all could feel the joy in my heart and how proud I am. He has worked so hard and fought so good and my dreams for Billy are coming true.

Happy 21st Billy. I love you with my heart.

🌬✨Smoking pot in bathrooms: Why the Philippines needs drug policy reform 🌬✨

The recent controversy surrounding Nadia Montenegro—a Senate staffer accused of smoking ma*****na inside a restroom at the Philippine Senate—has reignited public discourse on the country’s rigid and punitive drug laws. While the story has made a running joke of ā€œjoint sessionsā€ and jabs at Senator Robin Padilla, who authored the medical cannabis access bill, it reflects a deeper, more troubling reality: in the Philippines, cannabis users are forced into secrecy, often resorting to hidden corners and bathrooms to avoid harsh legal consequences. This is not just about one person—it’s a symptom of a prohibitionist system that criminalizes the use of cannabis in whatever context.

Under Republic Act No. 9165, ma*****na is classified as a dangerous drug, with penalties ranging from six months of rehabilitation to life imprisonment depending on the quantity involved. Even possession of paraphernalia such as pipes or bongs can result in jail time and fines.

The alleged incident in the Senate restroom is emblematic of how users are pushed into hiding. Public spaces, including government buildings, are not immune to the stigma and surveillance that drug users face. This culture of fear discourages open dialogue and perpetuates misinformation. Instead of addressing the root causes of drug use—such as humanity’s long and complex dalliance with substances—or exploring harm reduction strategies, the system continues to rely on punitive measures that alienate and punish people who use drugs.

What makes this incident even more troubling is the setting in which it allegedly occurred—a government building, specifically the Senate. If the act did take place, it raises questions about how power and privilege can shield individuals from accountability. For many Filipinos, being caught with cannabis—even in small amounts—can lead to arrest, detention, and long-term (or permanent) consequences (ie, death). This disparity underscores how drug laws are not applied equally, and how those with access to power may be treated differently than those without.

In 2024, the Philippine Drug Policy and Law Reform Summit was convened to reexamine the country’s approach to drug issues. Organized by the Department of Justice, the Dangerous Drugs Board, and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the summit marked a significant shift toward a public health-centered and human rights-based framework. The summit collectively highlighted the urgent need to move away from punitive drug policies. The findings emphasized that the most marginalized—especially the poor—have suffered the most under the ā€œWar on Drugs.ā€ The summit called for ending this approach and replacing it with compassionate, evidence-based policies that treat drug use as a health issue. Government officials, including President Marcos Jr., expressed support for reviewing RA 9165 and reforming the Philippine drug policy to prioritize human dignity and rights.

Drug use should be treated as a health issue, not a criminal one. Reform should prioritize dignity, evidence-based interventions, and the voices of those most affected. The Montenegro incident should serve as a wake-up call—not for more surveillance, but for more compassion and policy change. It’s time to move beyond the shadows and into a future where drug policy is rooted in justice, science, and humanity.

In this installment, we delve into patient surveys, retrospective reviews, observational studies, & clinical trials on colitis, irritable bowel disease, & cannabis.
