The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) formally launched the UA&P Cebu Center for Executive Education, marking a strategic step in extending its distinctive brand of leadership formation to the Visayas. https://link.uap.asia/uapcebu

Located at the Latitude Building of Cebu Landmasters, the Center places UA&P at the heart of Cebu’s key business district, enabling closer engagement with regional industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and institutions.

The establishment of the Center was made possible through the generosity of Cebu Landmasters, Inc., led by the Soberano family, which provided the venue and supported the development of the facility. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to leadership formation in the region, while enabling the University to pursue expansion with prudence and responsible stewardship of its resources.

“This center represents an important step in UA&P’s continuing mission to serve the beyond our Ortigas campus, and engage more directly in the dynamic growth centers of our country,” said Ambassador Joey Cuisia, Chairman of the UA&P Board of Trustees, in his remarks during the opening ceremony.

The Center features world-class classrooms designed for executive learning. The facility is intentionally configured as a high-engagement environment suited for senior professionals and decision-makers.

“This is not merely an expansion of geography,” said University President Atty. Philip Yeung. “It is the opening of a new gateway—one that allows us to bring the UA&P brand of education to leaders who are shaping the future of the Visayas and beyond.”

The Cebu Center will offer short, high-impact certificate programs for executives, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders, with offerings in business, marketing, economics, and law. These programs are carefully curated to address real-world challenges in business, marketing strategy, economic decision-making, legal and regulatory environments, governance, and organizational leadership, combining academic rigor with immediate practical application.

The initiative underscores UA&P’s commitment to broadening access to its educational model while remaining disciplined in the use of institutional resources—demonstrating that meaningful expansion can be achieved through strong partnerships and a shared vision for nation-building.

Dr. Jess Estanislao, UA&P co-founder, noted in his remarks, “Here in Cebu, let us focus on action, let us build, let us serve, let us transform, and let us change. And through UA&P Cebu, we are given a powerful opportunity not just to educate but to lead in our national transformation.”

With Cebu continuing to emerge as a key economic and cultural hub, the Center positions UA&P to contribute more directly to regional development through the formation of principled and competent leaders.
