When Position. Meets Surrender. 🫂✨
Last worship intercession of our church last June. Our Youth Pastor was led by the Holy Spirit to instruct the congregation that the last prayer instruction would be: “Go to someone na nilelead ka ng Lord to pray for.”
And suddenly, this particular group of people caught my attention.
The first guy was the bassist during that time, the second guy was the drummer, and the other one was our Music Director.
It really amazed me how the Lord moved upon their lives. It didn’t matter if we were standing in front of many people. It didn’t matter if someone might judge us because of the positions we hold. It didn’t matter if we had to humble ourselves, forgive one another, and pray for each other in front of everyone.
It didn’t matter if we were holding instruments, leading worship, or standing in a position of responsibility.
What mattered most was that WE WERE ALL STANDING AT THE ALTAR, IN FRONT OF THE CROSS, LAYING EVERYTHING DOWN AT THE FEET OF JESUS, AND CHOOSING TO STAND WITH ONE ANOTHER ONCE AGAIN.
Sometimes, it really doesn’t matter what TITLE or POSITION we have.
Especially when the Lord touches your heart and leads you to forgive and pray for someone. Kahit anong sitwasyon pa ang meron kayo sa oras na ’yan, when the time is right and the Lord leads you to pray for them, wala ka nang magagawa but to surrender. Handa mong bitawan ang kahit na ano, ibaba ang pride, at sundin lang ang kagustuhan ng Diyos sa buhay natin.
Because at the end of the day, we are not defined by our titles, positions, or what we do in front of people. We are servants of the same King, standing before the same Cross.
Kaya ikaw—at tayo—nabubuhay pa ba tayo bilang isang lingkod ng Panginoon, or ARE WE STILL LIVING IN OUR POSITIONS AND TITLES?
Check your heart, kapatid. 🤍
Mahal ka ni Lord! :’)
