The grant will provide a total of Php25,000 inclusive of matriculation fees, book allowance, monthly stipend, transportation allowance, and others.

DepEd Memorandum No. 43, s. 2022 "CONDUCT OF THE K TO 12 BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM END-OF-SCHOOL-YEAR RITES FOR SY 2021-2022 IN LIGHT OF THE COVID-19" PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY

The theme of the SY 2021-2022 EOSY rites shall be “Gradweyt ng K to 12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok” (K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity), which emphasizes that despite the risks and
uncertainty brought by COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the challenges it has posed to education, Filipino learners remain resolute in their desire to build a better future anchored on a clear vision.

With reference to DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2021, also known as School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2021-2022,” Quarter 4 shall end on June 24, 2022. For schools that did not suspend classes, the EOSY rites shall be any of the dates from June 27 to July 2, 2022.

Private schools may implement the schedule as reflected in their respective School Calendars.

Schools that declared suspension of classes in response to DM-CI-2022-009, Reiterating the Policy on Academic Ease and Allowing the Suspension of Classes and Other Teaching-Related Activities in the Midst of the Surge in COVID-19 Cases, shall make the necessary
adjustments to the school calendar to ensure that the number of days in the current school year remains consistent with RA 11480 (An Act Amending Section 3 of RA No. 7797, Otherwise Known as “An Act to Lengthen the School Calendar from Two Hundred (200) Days to Not More than Two Hundred Twenty (220) Class Days”). If classes were suspended for one week, then the EOSY rites may be on any of the dates from July 4-9, 2022.

DepEd Order 21, s. 2022 "EXTENDING THE EFFECTIVITY OF DEPED ORDER NO. 018, s. 2021 TO SCHOOL YEAR 2021−2022 AND AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS THEREOF"

Academic Excellence Awards and Performance Awards for Kindergarten shall be given at the end of the School Year 2021−2022.

Recipients of Academic Awards are learners from Grade 1 to Grade 12 who have attained a general weighted average of at least 90 with no failing final grade in any learning area, as stipulated in DO 36, s. 2016, (Policy Guidelines on Awards and Recognition for the K to 12 Basic Education Program)

Performance Awards shall be granted to learners in Kindergarten to recognize their most evident and most prominent abilities.

Classroom Awards (Conduct Awards, Recognition for Perfect Attendance); Grade Level Awards (Leadership Award, Award for Outstanding Performance in Specific Disciplines, Award for Work Immersion, Award for Research or Innovation, Award for Club or Organization Achievement); and Special Recognition shall remain suspended.

April 29, 2022 - The DepEd Secretary during the joint Execom-Mancom meeting held on Friday considering the best interest of the service and of the teaching force, approved the recommendation of the Regional Directors and Division Superintendents raised through the Governance and Operations Strand, to allow teachers not to report on-site on May 2 to 13, upon the following grounds:

1. Majority of the teachers, numbering more than 640,000 are expected to serve in the May 9 national and local elections.

2. Teachers and schools are making preparations for election activities and as polling places before election day. There will also be immediate post-election activities in the schools and by the teachers who will serve in the elections.

Teachers not serving in the elections shall continue to attend to tasks including the accomplishment of school forms, preparation of instructional materials, preparation of learning plans, and evaluation of learner’s outputs/portfolios, during the period.

The Secretary instructed the Governance and Operations and the Curriculum and Instruction strands to provide the appropriate guidance to field units to implement the decision.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁

Youth Leadership for Democracy (YouthLed), a five-year program being implemented by The Asia Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), will conduct its first Civic Education Summit, entitled "Emerging Knowledge, Practices, and Opportunities” on 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟴-𝟮𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮, 𝟴:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 – 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗡𝗡 at the 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹, 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘀, 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆. The event will also be live streamed via Zoom and YouthLed PH's page.

This is an online platform that serves as an avenue to present difficult science theories and concepts in popular language and fun way using videos and infographics for kids, students, teachers and general public.

The NRCP will have its nationwide online launching of the B2B Season 2 on April 11, 2022 at 10:00-11:00am, to be followed by its first episode. NRCP invites Grade 10 students and teachers to join the online episodes/classes. The first episode will feature the Earth and Space Sciences Division with the topic “Volcanic Eruption: When Beauty becomes the Beast”. The Summit includes various events and activities which are designed and aimed to promote better understanding of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering among high school learners.

The NMMME Summit 2022 will hold the following activities:
1. Talks and seminars on career paths and the nature of the fields of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering
2. Student Olympiad including a Quiz Bee and an Idea Challenge
3. Oratorical Contest
4. Feature Writing Contest
5. Digital Art Contest

DOST-PAGASA, the country’s warning agency tasked with disaster risk reduction efforts and initiatives related to weather and climate-related hazards, has developed a learning module which focuses on understanding PAG-ASA’s Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals, intended for Senior High School students.

In celebration of the 157th National and 72nd World Meteorological Day, DOST-PAGASA invites 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 to the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹. This year’s theme is “𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙂𝙤𝙖𝙡𝙨 (𝙎𝘿𝙂𝙨)”.
