The maximum number of times a single page of a newspaper can ๐๐๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐ณ ๐ฏ๐ ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ ๐ณ ๐๐ผ ๐ด ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐. This is due to the exponential increase in thickness and decrease in surface area with each fold, which quickly makes further folding physically difficult without the use of tools or machinery.
However, this "๐น๐ถ๐บ๐ถ๐" was famously challenged in 2002 by Britney Gallivan, a high school student, who ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฒ ๐น๐ผ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ญ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐. She even derived a mathematical formula for the maximum number of folds based on paper thickness and length.
So, for a standard newspaper page (which is thinner than typical paper but still constrained by size), 7 times is usually the practical max without extra effort or custom paper.
