Learning and Development Update:

A major method used by clinicians to diagnose and treat cardiac patients is echocardiography. Primary care physicians must be up to date on echocardiographic technology given their rapid advancement in order to properly use and refer patients. Inappropriate echocardiogram may be “possible damaging to patients and resulting to unjustified expenses to the healthcare system”, according to the American College of Cardiology, while effective echocardiography “likely contributes to improving patient’s clinical outcomes.”

With this, the Philippine Heart Center Medical Education Division will provide an online lecture series for all healthcare professionals, primary care physicians, and possibly even emergency medicine doctors. The purpose of this webinar is to inform participants on when echocardiography is useful in various clinical situations.
