Growing up in a province where airplanes were rarely seen in the sky, Cdt. Paula Antoinette Resurreccion always felt a special connection whenever she saw one. What began as a childhood curiosity eventually became a dream to take to the skies.

Today, that dream has taken a significant step forward as she completes one of the most memorable milestones in every student pilotโ€™s journey โ€” her first solo flight. โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

โ€œI grew up in a province where not many airplanes passed through the sky. Whenever I saw one, it sparked something in me. Something woke up that was just waiting to be ignited. That's when I realized the sky was where I wanted to be. From a child questioning how airplanes fly to a cadet pilot who just finished her first solo flight!

Everything happened so fast, like the blink of an eye, yet I felt every moment of it. The whole experience gave me an indescribable feeling. Finally having my first solo flight after doubting myself for so long felt like such an accomplishment. It still feels like my very first flight was just yesterday, and now I was taking off and landing on my own.

This would not have been possible without the people who have supported me and been there for me since day one.

To AAA, thank you for being a great school for aspiring pilots. I'm grateful for all the knowledge you continue to share with us and for helping make our dreams possible.

To all my instructors, especially Capt. Detran, Iโ€™m truly grateful for your patience, guidance, and trust. Even after my long breaks between flights, you always made sure to refresh my knowledge and rebuild my confidence. Thank you for believing in me and for everything you have taught me throughout this journey.

To my friends and loved ones, thank you for all the support, encouragement, and for making the effort to show up. Your constant cheers helped me overcome my fears and believe in myself.

To Brintte, Iโ€™m beyond grateful for always being there through everything, especially during the times I struggled and needed support. Thank you for listening to my never-ending stories and rants, comforting me, and always reminding me that I am capable and that I can do it. Even silently and from afar, your presence meant more than you know.

It's been raining a lot in the past few days. BUT -

Every rainy day is another chance to learn something new, sharpen your skills, and prepare for the skies ahead.

Keep moving forward, one lesson at a time.
