“Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.”

EPIFANIO DELOS SANTOS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHOWCASES BAYANIHAN SPIRIT DURING BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026

Pasay City, June 5, 2026 – Epifanio Delos Santos Elementary School (EDSES) successfully conducted its Brigada Eskwela 2026 from June 1 to 5, bringing together teachers, parents, community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders in preparation for the opening of School Year 2026–2027. Guided by this year’s theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the week-long activity highlighted the collective effort of the school community in creating a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for all pupils.

Under the leadership of Principal Ma. Garde B. Cleofe, various school improvement activities were carried out, including classroom cleaning, repainting, repair of school facilities, landscaping, waste management, and the organization of learning spaces. Teachers and volunteers worked hand in hand to ensure that every classroom was ready to provide a conducive atmosphere for learning.

The successful implementation of the program was spearheaded by Brigada Eskwela Coordinator Alma V. Latayan, who coordinated the participation of stakeholders and mobilized resources needed for the school’s preparation activities. Through her efforts and the unwavering support of the faculty and staff, the school was able to accomplish significant improvements in its facilities and learning environment.

Throughout the week, parents, alumni, barangay officials, private partners, and community volunteers generously shared their time, skills, and resources. Their active participation reflected the true essence of bayanihan and strengthened the partnership between the school and the community in supporting quality education.

The closing program on June 5 recognized the valuable contributions of volunteers and partners whose dedication helped transform the school into a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming place for learners.
