PhilSCA Flying School Brief History

Then came the birth of PhilSCA Flying School (PFS) as approved by the Board of Trustees with Board Resolution No. 04 Series 1994 chaired by then Department of Education Culture and Sports Secretary Ricardo Gloria, authorized PFS to operate. PAF(Ret) was designated as the Director of PFS effective on the said date. A Tampico aircraft STB 9C blessed RP2200 was do

nated to the College by the late Sen. Raul Roco from his countrywide development fund and another Tampico aircraft RP2204 was purchased for P10 million from PhilSCA Development Fund in 1997. The Air Agency Certificate to operate a Flying School was granted by the Air Transportation Office (A.T.O) now Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) immediately thereafter, when all procedures for acceptance of the equipment were completed and other requirements submitted. PFS re-structured its organization and continued training courses for the operation, which commenced on first semester of 1996 and continued only up to present.
