Different stories, one shared goal — to rise, serve, and make a difference through the law. ⚖️

"Indeed, it is tiring. It makes you double-think your life decisions. But the scholarship did not only offer free tuition, nor the stipend—it offered trust, confidence, and potential. Joining the program gives me the strength to strive and survive, knowing that I am capable of things I once thought I could not do. And it is that capability, that potential, that I will always look back on, supporting me throughout this journey."
- Alelie Dublar, DJAG Scholar Batch 2025

It is with profound grief that we share the passing of Villaflor Vinte, our fellow junior scholar under Dean Jose Aguila Grapilon of the Philippine Law School.

Villaflor’s journey in law school was never easy. Far from his home in Lanao Del Norte, he carried not only the weight of his dreams but the quiet burden of sacrifice—studying relentlessly, enduring hardships, and holding on to the hope that one day he would rise, take the Bar, and uplift his family. Among us, he was one of the most hopeful—always looking forward, always believing that better days were ahead.

This afternoon, at around 4 PM, he was found lifeless in his boarding house in Cagayan de Oro. A dream was suddenly stilled, but the courage and determination he showed will never be forgotten.

Villaflor is from Lanao Del Norte, where his family now waits in grief. They are humbly asking for help, as they currently do not have the means to bring him home.

In honoring Villaflor, may we carry forward the perseverance he lived by. We ask for your prayers, and for any assistance you may extend to help bring him back to his family.

Even in loss, may his story remind us why we keep going.

For everyone's information, the GCash Account of Ms. Darriegold Vinte has been compromised, any donations that you will send, please send it through Student Council Treas. Radji Sarep's GCash account.

From scholarship dreams to law school triumphs! 🎓

Beyond the caps and gowns, beyond the cheers, lies a story of incredible grit, unwavering spirit, and countless personal victories. Our hearts are absolutely overflowing with immense joy and pride for three truly remarkable DJAG Scholars, namely, Vincent Luis Locsin, Angelica Kit Jacob, and Allan Gannod who just graduated last July 25!

For so long, their lives were a tapestry woven with sleepless nights fueled by ambition, mountains of readings that stretched into the dawn, and the immense, quiet pressure that comes with being a scholar—carrying not just their own hopes, but also the profound belief placed in them. Every sacrifice, every moment of doubt overcome, every dense legal text conquered, has culminated in this magnificent achievement.

Their journey has been nothing short of inspiring, made possible by the incredible generosity and vision of our very own Dean José Aguila Grapilon. Thank you, Dean Grapilon, for investing in these brilliant minds.

To Kuya Allan, Ate Kit, and Kuya Vince, you didn't just earn a degree—you earned this moment through sheer force of will and an indomitable spirit. You are living proof that perseverance transforms dreams into reality. Please know that your entire DJAG Scholars family is cheering you on, every step of the way. We genuinely cannot wait to witness the incredible impact you'll make in the legal world. Go out there, carry your torch high, and continue to make us incredibly proud! 💜
