The Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences stands in solidarity with the Philippine Commission on Women and the Inter-Agency Council on VAWC as we mark the annual 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women.
With the campaignโs continuing theme โUNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippinesโ, we reaffirm that lasting change is possible only when every Juan and Juana takes part. This 2025, we echo the call for a whole-of-nation approachโwhere youth become changemakers, men serve as proactive allies, bystanders speak up and intervene safely, and local leaders drive policy-based transformation.
Together, let us:
๐ธ Accelerate efforts to end VAW at all levels
๐ธ Empower survivors and champion justice
๐ธ Promote respect, equality, and accountability
๐ธ Break the silence and take meaningful action
๐ธ Build a safer, more just future for women and girls
At ILAS, we believe that learning is not just about the mindโit is also about compassion, courage, and commitment to humanity. โ๐งก
Let us stand UNiTEd. Let us stand for women. Let us stand for a violence-free Philippines.
