✨ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐍, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐂𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 ✨

What does it mean to stand for a nation when doing so comes at the greatest personal cost? 🤔

For Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr., the answer was found in his decision to return to the Philippines despite the risks that awaited him. A journalist who entered public service and eventually became one of the country’s youngest senators, Ninoy became a prominent critic of the Marcos regime following the declaration of Martial Law in 1972. Despite years away from his homeland, he chose to return believing that his presence could help address the growing political and social challenges faced by our country. His return, however, ended in his assassination, an event that became a significant turning point in Philippine history. 💚🕊️

Ninoy’s story reminds us that the meaning of leadership extends beyond titles, positions, and political power. It is also reflected in the willingness to stand by one’s principles and to remain committed to the people one seeks to serve. His story raises questions that remain relevant to every generation: “How do we respond when our principles are challenged?” and “How can young Filipinos contribute to the nation they hope to see?” As students and future professionals, remembering Ninoy means recognizing that history is not simply something to be studied; it is something that shapes the responsibilities we carry in the present. May his legacy encourage us to value truth, courage, democratic ideals, and meaningful service to the Filipino people. 🇵🇭☀️

Today, we want to commemorate the pioneers of the sky who dared to reach new heights and shaped the aviation professionals that enable the global connectivity we enjoy today, demonstrating that what was once thought impossible is indeed possible✨. National Aviation Day is a day where we celebrate the desire, passion, dedication, and innovation that have made the journey of flights smooth and what it is today 💙.

It is important that we honor those who made these journeys possible, from the inventors, pilots, cabin crews, air traffic controllers, security personnel, ground crews, engineers, and many more individuals who are involved in making sure that our journey is safe and comfortable🧑‍✈️. May we all continue to look at the skies and see the beauty that there is in celebrating the people and the art that made us conquer and see what is there to see in the endless horizon of clouds. ⛅️

The National Aviation Academy of the Philippines, through the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, has issued OVPAA Memorandum No. 04, s. 2026, providing guidelines for the conduct of classes, examinations, and academic work arrangements from August 15 to 20, 2026.

In general, regular class sessions during the covered period will be conducted online, with specific arrangements and exceptions for scheduled examinations, graduate thesis defenses, NSTP classes, and other academic activities as provided in the memorandum.

Students, faculty members, and concerned personnel are advised to carefully review the full memorandum below for the specific guidelines applicable to their respective institutes, campuses, programs, and scheduled activities.

This arrangement is due to the utilization of classrooms and necessary equipment for the conduct of the Preliminary Major Examinations. Therefore, regular classes will commence immediately following the conclusion of the examination schedule.

The NAAP - College Red Cross Youth Council, in collaboration with all the Student Organizations and Publication of the National Aviation Academy of the Philippines - Villamor Campus, is relaunching AGAPAY: Care Through Connection—a Free Mobile Load Assistance Program, an emergency response initiative aimed at supporting the academic community by providing mobile load assistance during times of calamity.

This project will once again extend its support to members of the academic community, made possible through the collective efforts of the following Student Organizations and Publication:

Please be officially informed that the ILAS Preliminary Examinations have been rescheduled following the recent suspension of classes.

The Preliminary Examinations will now be conducted on Monday, August 10, and Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

The four (4) programs of the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences (ILAS) will follow the officially revised examination schedule. Students are advised to carefully check their respective examination date, time, and room assignment.

The National Aviation Academy of the Philippines (NAAP), through the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, has announced the shift of all classes at the Villamor Campus to online synchronous and asynchronous learning modalities on August 8–9, 2026, in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions and to ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty members, and personnel.

Under OVPAA Advisory No. 08, s. 2026, examinations originally scheduled on these dates shall be rescheduled to succeeding class days. Concerned Deans, Department Chairpersons, and Program Coordinators shall issue the revised examination schedules, with examinations allowed to be compressed and conducted on Monday and Tuesday provided that sufficient preparation time for students is maintained.

The advisory likewise covers NSTP and Graduate Studies classes.

Faculty members assigned during the affected period may adopt a Work-from-Home (WFH) arrangement, subject to the submission of a duly certified accomplishment report in accordance with the advisory.

Students and faculty members are advised to coordinate with their respective instructors, Program Coordinators, and Department Chairpersons for specific class arrangements and revised examination schedules.
