✨GRADUATION DATE UPDATES✨
Please take time to read and comprehend the following information regarding the date of our virtual graduation for Flight 2021.

‼️YES THERE WILL STILL BE A VIRTUAL GRADUATION‼️

From the day of the election of the Graduating Class Officers, we already started creating and submitting proposals following the original academic calendar which states that the graduation day shall be on August 9 – 13, 2021. A month of preparation will not be sufficient to accommodate all the needed materials for our graduation. With that, the GCO Flight 2021 proposed another set of dates for our graduation to be held on the 2nd week of September. Unfortunately, the proposal was disregarded as we were informed that the events committee proposed another paper indicating that the graduation day will be on October 4 – 6, 2021.

Last September 14, 2021, we, the GCO Flight 2021, announced on our General Assembly that the tentative dates for our virtual graduation was supposedly on October 4 – 6, 2021. Other needed materials such as the process of submitting the graduation photos and writeups are explained by the officers. The processes for the availing and payment of Flight 2021 college ring and yearbook were also explained as well. The GCO Flight 2021 announced a deadline for the submission of the needed materials to be until September 24, 2021 (assuming that the virtual graduation was on October 4 – 6, 2021). With the demand of the graduating students to extend the deadline, and as the virtual graduation seemed not to be approved yet, the GCO Flight 2021 sought for approval for it to be extended until October 5, 2021.

Having that situation, the GCO Flight 2021 needed to make adjustments that will suffice more time for the students and the Events Committee to arrange the needed materials for our graduation. Other than that, the workforce in our campus is limited and everyone is being affected of the pandemic. Due to this, the preparation for the virtual graduation underwent delays. The events committee were waiting for the approval of the Board of Trustees on the new proposed dates for the virtual graduation. Due to this, we are still having delays. We hope that we all understand that every plan must be put in numerous papers which will be subjected for approval.

We, the officers of Flight 2021, were collecting your graduation photos, write-ups, and other materials to make the preparation smooth and easier for the events committee. To clarify, the events committee is the one responsible on handling and managing the virtual graduation program itself and we, the GCO Flight 2021, are here to assist the events committee.

Several meetings were conducted by the GCO Flight 2021 together with the school administrator/faculty and events committee for the preparation and further approval of the virtual graduation. With that, ATLAST! the preparation for the virtual graduation was approved on October 26, 2021. By that date, the school’s event committee can finally start their preparation, filming, and editing for the virtual graduation.

As of the present, the GCO Flight 2021 and the school’s events committee are working together to prepare and produce an unforgettable 1st virtual graduation that PhilSCA will conduct. We understand that the virtual graduation has been late in terms of approval and ex*****on, but we were informed by the school that the virtual graduation should not be further rushed, as to not suffer the quality and output of the ceremony.

As of the current, there is still no final date for the graduation, expect that the ceremony to happen within the year. As soon as possible that PhilSCA would give approval on the FINAL DATE we would immediately inform you here on our page. We are doing our best to finish the preparation for graduation and we hope that you are all still excited to attend the Flight 2021’s Virtual Graduation.

Ever wonder why cabin crews will dim the interior lights when a plane lands at night?

In the unlikely event that the plane landing goes badly and passengers need to evacuate, their eyes will already be adjusted to the darkness. As pilot Chris Cooke explained: “Imagine being in an unfamiliar bright room filled with obstacles when someone turns off the lights and asks you to exit quickly.”

Similarly, flight attendants have passengers raise their window shades during landing, so they can see outside in an emergency and assess if one side of the plane is better for an evacuation.

“A teacher’s job is to take a bunch of live wires and see that they are well-grounded.” -Darwin D. Martin

Behind every profession, there is a person who believed in them way before they even achieved their dreams. Thank you for helping us grow and pushing us outside our comfort zones so we can do things we never thought we could.

To our beloved teachers, thank you for making us believe that there is no limit when it comes to reaching our dreams. Belated Happy teachers’ day to all teachers out there!
