At the Philippine School for the Deaf, every learner matters. Beyond serving Deaf learners with profound hearing loss, we also proudly provide education to hard-of-hearing learners with varying levels of residual hearing, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

We are truly grateful to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara for the lapel pins. On July 30, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., the Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD) successfully conducted the Turnover of Donation Ceremony at the PSD Sala, celebrating a meaningful partnership with Asiapro Foundation Inc. and Asiapro Multipurpose Cooperative. The event aimed to formally receive donations that will enhance the school's Senior High School Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) program and support learners in acquiring practical skills and improving their learning experience.

The Philippine School for the Deaf extends its sincere appreciation to the City Government of Pasay, under the leadership of Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano, and to the Schools Division Office of Pasay, headed by Schools Division Superintendent Joel T. Torrecampo, CESO VI, for their steadfast guidance, invaluable partnership, and unwavering commitment to advancing inclusive education.

We are truly honored to be among the recipient schools of the Special Programs in Reading, Sports, SIKAP, Numero, and the Alternative Learning System (ALS). The Alternative Learning System (ALS) of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Pasay City successfully held its division-wide Graduation Ceremony on July 4, 2026, at the Jose Rizal Elementary School Covered Court, celebrating the achievements of ALS learners from across the division.

The ceremony was attended by officials and personnel of the SDO of Pasay City, led by Schools Division Superintendent Joel T. Torrecampo, CESO VI. Pasay City Mayor Hon. Emi Calixto-Rubiano graced the occasion as the guest of honor. Also present were Vice Mayor Mark Calixto, Councilor Luigi Calixto-Rubiano, and former Councilor Joey Calixto-Isidro, who joined the graduates in celebrating this significant milestone.

Among those who proudly completed the ALS program were Deaf learners from the Philippine School for the Deaf (PSD): Louie G. Calong, Reina Burdeos, Lizette M. Caliwag, Aubrey B. Elep, and Rizelle Caren Grabillo. Their graduation reflects their determination, perseverance, and commitment to achieving their educational goals through the ALS program.

Joining the celebration were PSD school head, Dr. Jordan S. Madronio together with the ALS teachers, Elisa Vilan, Grace Pauig, and Aira Villa, whose guidance, dedication, and steadfast support played a vital role in the learners’ educational journey and success.

As part of the school’s sanitation and mosquito control measures, fogging and misting operations will be conducted on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

To ensure the continuity of learning, Asynchronous Learning Sessions shall be implemented for the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and Sports Special Programs. Teachers are directed to prepare and distribute appropriate asynchronous or online learning activities for their learners.

DepEd Memorandum DM-OUOPS-2026-06-1660, issued on June 30, 2026, reiterates the strict implementation of the prohibition on the use of portable electronic devices by both learners and school personnel during instructional hours. The Memorandum reinforces the provisions of DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 (Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment) to promote a safe, focused, and distraction-free learning environment, while allowing exceptions only for authorized academic purposes and emergency situations.
