Eliminations for the Basketball Mens were completed last Wednesday night. Here are the reamining Players of the Games who brought the team towards the Semi Finals!

The semi finals for volleyball womens were over and these two ladies helped their teams last night make it through to the Gold Medal match. Who will reign supreme between the two group of champions. Come and support your friends tomorrow night at the AUSL Gymnasium for the Game 1 of the Finals - Gold match.

Elmerson Maceda carried his team, Recit Busters, last night as they dominated the AUSL Generis and concluded their elimination games with a sweep of all the other teams in the Bracket A of the Basketball Mens. This is his third consecutive time becoming the player of the game. They will face the Rank 2 team of the Bracket B which will be determined after the final games tonight of the eliminations.

Pasay City — The Arellano Law Community officially opened its intramurals with the theme, “AUSL Intramurals 2023: Return of the Champions” on 11 November 2023 at the Arellano University Apolinario Mabini Campus, through the leadership of the AUSL Athletics Society and in partnership with the Arellano Chiefs Environmental Society (ACES).

The opening activity commenced with the parade of sports and e-sports participants comprising of students, faculty, employees, and alumni. The parade was followed by the messages of Arellano Law Foundation Executive Director Atty. Gabriel Dela Pena and Judge Caridad Grecia Cuerdo during the event proper.

Thereafter, Mr. Dean Nanadiego led the oath-taking of sportsmanship together with the intramural participants which sparked the spirit of the players and which was amplified by the performance of the Arellano University Pep Squad.

The symbolic lighting of the torch concluded the opening event. Representatives in the lighting of the torch are: Mr. Ejhay Ywanan who represented the Arellano Law employees; Atty. Gabriel Dela Pena who represented the Arellano Law Faculty; Former LSG President Mr. RJ Sabater representing alumni; Mr. Rafael Carlos Aquino, the AUSL Athletics Society President; Ms. Mikee Parinas who represented the ACES; Mr. Lawrence Cui Riodeque who represented the student-athletes; and Mr. Julian Paolo Fabros, the ALSG President.

AUSL Athletics Society President Rafael Carlos Aquino expressed his gratitude to fellow student leaders who exerted effort and dedication to make the anticipated month-long event possible. “I am grateful to the people who supported and helped the Athletics Society, especially our Public Relations Officer, Law Rioduque, who is the “heart and soul” of this year’s intramurals. We are also grateful to our partner organization, the Arellano Chiefs Environmental Society, who spearheaded the opening program,” Aquino said.

The Arellano Community exudes excitement in participating in the intramurals after almost five (5) years of missing the event and three (3) years of online classes. Indeed, this activity has been the perfect means to encourage the camaraderie of law students as face-to-face classes also started to resume. Matches simultaneously started on 6 November 2023 and which is expected to be wrapped up by the end of November. # #
