YES-O WEATHER AND SAFETY ADVISORY

The Pasay City Government, through the directive of City Mayor and upon the recommendation of the Pasay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PCDRRMO), has announced the suspension of face-to-face classes in all levels, both public and private schools in Pasay City, today, August 17, 2026, due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

In accordance with this declaration, Pasay City West High School (PCWHS) will shift from face-to-face classes to asynchronous online class on the above date.

FOR PCWHS STUDENTS

Students are advised to:
โ€ข Check their respective class group chats and official learning platforms for assigned activities.
โ€ข Accomplish the asynchronous learning tasks provided by their teachers.
โ€ข Stay at home and prioritize their safety.
โ€ข Monitor official announcements from PCWHS and the Pasay City Government.

While staying at home, let us continue to care for our environment:

A Magnitude 5.8 tectonic earthquake struck 21 km Southwest of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro today, August 7, 2026, at 10:38 AM. The earthquake was felt in parts of Occidental Mindoro, Southern Luzon, and Metro Manila. As of this time, no tsunami warning has been issued, but aftershocks are possible.

Your safety is our priority. Stay calm, avoid damaged structures, and check your surroundings for hazards such as gas leaks, damaged electrical wires, or falling debris. Keep your emergency kit ready and remain alert for possible aftershocks.
