Long before children have all the words, they already have so much to say.
In Reggio Emilia, they call it the 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 of children — the idea that a child can speak just as fluently through color, through clay, through gesture and light and building and unbuilding, as they ever will through words. The Atelier exists to protect that fluency.
In our Atelier, they say it through color, through texture, through building and unbuilding, through hands that are still learning what they're capable of.
We don't hand children a hundred languages — we simply make room for the ones they already carry.
