Experiencing the PATTS Student Leadership Training Camp (SLTC) 2026 changed my perspective on being a student leader.

It was such an experience that every student leader must have. I realized that the training reflects the actions you are responsible for within an organization. You endure many challenging activities that reflect the pressure of being in an organization, and it is not an easy road to find success with them.

Many learnings within the training revolve around camaraderie and decision-making, which are embodied by great leadership. You are challenged in each activity not only to win but also to learn the essence behind it. Not with your critical thinking, dedication, or even the strength you have, but it is all about the strength you have as a team.

Being a leader is not only for those who have experience or even well-known people.

𝕰𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖞𝖔𝖓𝖊 𝖈𝖆𝖓 𝖇𝖊 𝖆 𝖑𝖊𝖆𝖉𝖊𝖗.

The experience teaches me 3 things about leadership:

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.

Leaders in an organization have a purpose, and that's to show 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩.

You are the influence; you provide yourself as a 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 for them.

You also know what to prioritize in an organization. But it doesn't mean what to sacrifice and what to leave behind; a good leader knows that what he handles is his 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.

And with these actions you take, you must reflect on what these actions mean. You must clarify and feel the impact of these decisions that you are accountable for.

You can clearly define and 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 past mistakes that are involved in your organization.

And before we think about what road you will take, we must learn from it, unlearn old ideas, and relearn to stack it with your current knowledge.
