We are sharing the official statement from the Parañaque City Police Station confirming that circulating online threat messages targeting schools are unverified and false.
Please remain calm, refrain from spreading unverified posts, and rely only on official school and government advisories. The safety of our community remains our top priority. 🙏
PARAÑAQUE CITY POLICE STATION STATEMENT ON THREAT MESSAGES CIRCULATING IN SOCIAL MEDIA
In response to the circulating Facebook post alleging planned shootings in several schools within Parañaque City and other cities, this Police Station, through the Intelligence Section immediately initiated validation and verification to determine the authenticity of the said online threat; fortunately, the investigation yielded negative results.
While the content of these posts may be perceived as a potential source of widespread alarm and public threat, we want to assure the public that we have intensified our monitoring and coordination efforts, particularly in schools within our jurisdiction. Our primary goal is to safeguard public safety and prevent any potential ex*****on of criminal activities.
The Parañaque City Police Station will continue collaborate closely with school authorities and partner agencies to ensure the safety and security of our communities. We urge the public to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information and be aware that spreading false threats or malicious information to cause panic and alarm can lead to serious legal consequences.
