Last December 12, 2025 the Rogationist Seminary College of Philosophy celebrated its annual Christmas Party. It was filled with yuletide festivities, games and camaraderie. The said event was attended by the administration, faculty, staff and students of the institution. A testament to the coming into the presence of God in the academic community. The event was a time for the academic institution to express the spirit of Christmas to each and everyone of its members, hoping that at the end of the year a true collaboration of spirit be expressed in the activity of leisure and joy. As would the Child Jesus experience in the manger a thousand years ago. Send, O Lord, Holy Apostles into Your Church!

With heavy hearts we join the family of our former student Elyjohn Jallorina who met a fatal motorcycle accident early this morning…. Unprepared for your passing yet we remain to be faithful that your journey will ultimately lead you to heaven.

Eternal rest grant unto Elyjohn O, Lord,
And let Your perpetual Light shine upon him
May the soul of Elyjohn rest in peace

𝐑𝐒𝐂𝐏-𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐀’𝐒 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐎𝐏𝐇𝐘 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 2025

Last November 26, 2025, the Rogationist Seminary College of Philosophy-Manila celebrated the annual World Philosophy Day at the Father Hannibal Children Center with the theme: Illuminating the Nature and Dignity of the Human Person through Discourse. The celebration began with the lecture of Prof. Michael Roland Hernandez, PhD, a professor from the Department of Philosophy at the Ateneo de Naga University and Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Santa Mesa Campus.

The talk was about the Filipinization of Philosophy; Prof Michael argued that such attempts, if followed by the traditional sense of the word Filipino, cannot be possible. However, he gave reasons why language has a distinct philosophical usage that is only appropriate to that linguistic community. Hence, a possibility of a particular philosophy unique to all and yet is universalized, due to the nature of philosophy, given a specific language. This was followed by the cultural games facilitated by the RSCP-Manila’s Student Body Organization. It brought fellowship and goodwill in the spirit of camaraderie. May the spirit and enthusiasm for philosophizing never fade with the progress of our lives.

Come and join us as one community of critical thinkers as we celebrate one of the most fundamental celebrations in our institution, RSCP-Manila's World Philosophy Day Celebration 2025 with the theme: Philosophia: Illuminating the dignity and nature of the human person through discourse. Let us unite as one academe to learn and discuss about the contemporary issues concerning the Human Person. Prof. Michael Roland Hernandez, PhD, Faculty member of Department in Philosophy, Ateneo De Naga & Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Sta. Mesa Manila will lecture us about the dignity and nature of the Human Person and its importance to the formation of every person for the church. We hope to see you in this celebration!
