Intoxication is a temporary condition that occurs after consuming alcohol or using other psychoactive substances. It is generally short-term, but its duration varies depending on factors such as the amount and type of substance consumed, a person’s health, and their tolerance. Intoxication affects the nervous system and may cause physical, mental, and behavioral symptoms, including dizziness, impaired coordination, slurred speech, confusion, mood changes, poor judgment, and slower reaction time. In severe cases, intoxication can lead to serious health complications.
