Comorbidities common in autism—such as sleep disorders, gastrointestinal issues, sensory sensitivities, immune or metabolic disorders—may compound as people age, intersecting with the burdens of aging itself.
Older adults with autism are also more likely to suffer from obesity, high cholesterol and cardiovascular risk factors compared with non-autistic peers.
As part of its 30th Anniversary celebration, the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) in collaboration with Asian Hospital and Medical Center invites the public to a free public talk on “Aging and Autism: What the Future Holds”.
This timely and emerging topic will explore medical, social, cognitive and care issues for persons with autism as they become adults and grow older.
👉Your presence and voice will help turn information, awareness into action.
Admission is free, but seats are limited.

CARD Phils.–PAFI, in collaboration with Asian Hospital and Medical Center, proudly presents...
🌟 “Aging and Autism: What the Future Holds” 🌟
We are honored to have Dr. Alexis L. Reyes, a respected developmental pediatrician, professor at the University of the Philippines, and a long-standing authority on autism in the Philippines.
Her insights, especially in a local cultural and health-system context, will help bridge global evidence with Philippine realities.
Thus, in the context of CARD’s 30th Anniversary, this talk offers not only retrospective celebration, but forward-looking vision:
How do we support persons with autism into middle age, into senior years and ensure dignity, health, inclusion and quality of life as they age?
👉Your presence and voice will help turn information, awareness into action.
Admission is free, but seats are limited.

Why Attend
This is not just another talk — it is a crucial conversation about a largely overlooked chapter in autism life. As populations age and as children with autism become adults and seniors, we face unaddressed gaps in health care, social services, inclusive living and policy.
Be part of a forward-looking discussion that will help shape how we care for and respect our ASD community across the full lifespan.
Your presence and voice will help turn information, awareness into action.
Admission is free, but seats are limited.
