The Marcelo Green High School community officially opened its Literacy Week 2025 Kick-Off Program on December 9, 2025 at 1:30 p.m., held at the school’s activity area. Organized by the English Department, the event brought together teachers and selected students from Grades 7 to 10 to celebrate literacy, creativity, and cultural appreciation.
The program opened with a prayer, followed by the singing of a nationalistic song that set an energizing tone for the afternoon. Mr. Edwin C. Horca, Master Teacher II, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting how literacy helps strengthen learners’ communication skills and creativity. Afterwards, Ms. Marina C. Lizardo, Master Teacher I, presented the schedule and mechanics of the week-long activities.
