I saw this one online... Self evaluation sheet, I made our own, in place of the stars I chose happy faces. I also added remarks, and had to write on print so she can read it. We'll be doing this every friday (end of the week). The first page consists of the weekly planner (if she needs to set a deadline in the art projects she's doing or an on line work that she needs to continue or submit or print out), then there's the academic subjects that she has and the topics that were tackled per day and grades if ever there are activities she answered.
I loved this evaluation (back part) area where she is able to see and evaluate how she did for the week. I also use this part so she can reflect on the actions she did such as respecting others and authorities, the creations of God and so on. I remembered working as a QA there was an EPR where you rate yourself and submit it to your supervisor. She can also see how I evaluate her performance as a whole not only academically but how she interrelate to other people.
Homeschooling with Nalla
This will show how her studies progresses as time goes by.
Tools or materials that we use or even techniques that help Nalla in understanding each topics presented to her.
Waking up at 4am again... Studying at 630am...
Day 2 Lesson in Math: Roman Numerals... Since there are rules and it can be quite overwhelming... We didn't answer the book yet... Instead we practice on the white board and tomorrow we'll have a memory game regarding this.
Note: Sometimes if the topic seems challenging to her (esp if there are rules that needs to be understood) then we go slow, when she understands it, that's the time that we move forward. But for some topics that are easy for her like the ordinal numbers, she understood it quickly that's the reason why we were able to discuss about the Roman Numerals yesterday 🥰

Study in whatever position you are comfortable with 😍🥰 Enjoy!!!
This afternoon we decided to do coding 🥰 I remembered having logged in to hour of code in 2013 or 2014 so I checked my email and luckily I was able to retrieve my password. So I allowed her to try it. And she loved it 🥰
She said "Mommy ang dami pa lang gamit ng math! Parang gusto ko din maging programmer!"
"Gusto ko din i-try ang Robotics, yung nakita natin sa convention at book fair."
So I told her it's Papa's course too... And that I'll check the nearest location for STEM 😍😜🤪
When she was younger this task was just occasional.
Homeschooling is very challenging for us, there are times that she's not in the mood to study and there are days that she would study from the time she wakes up until it's night time.
We want to instill in her the sense of responsibility at home and to her community. Forming habits is important esp the good ones. We don't force her to do things, we talk to her and let her decide whether it's going to be for the common good or not. (Many would not agree but we're past that stage now)
We are not perfect, but we are a work in progress.
We fall, we stumble and we rise together. We set our goals that are attainable while we seek Him.
