Today November 23, 2024, the PUP Parañaque City Campus came alive with excitement as 1st-year students from diverse programs—BSIT, BSCPE, BSOA, and BSHM—gathered for a memorable event. With their signature colors on display, the attendees lit up the venue with their vibrant spirit and enthusiastic applause.

The event began with a Seminar on Sexual Harassment in Educational Institutions, (𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙨, 𝙐𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮- 𝘼 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝘼𝙘𝙩 7877 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙞 𝙎𝙚𝙭𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘼𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 1995) with a focus on the Safe Spaces Act (Republic Act 11313). 𝘼𝙩𝙩𝙮. 𝙅𝙚𝙩 𝘽𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙨 shared valuable perspectives, exploring the wider implications of the issue across multiple platforms and its connection to student rights.

"Creating a safer and more respectful society starts with knowledge and action! This seminar delves into Republic Act 11313 (Safe Spaces Act) and Republic Act 7877 (Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995), equipping individuals with the tools to stand against harassment, promote dignity, and uphold inclusivity in every space—be it public, private, or online. Let’s empower one another, foster accountability, and build a culture where respect and equality thrive. Together, we can make every space safe and dignified for all."
