A while back, SAS Courier, in collaboration with the previous SAS Supreme Student Government, conducted an exclusive interview featuring all Supreme Student Government candidates from Junior High School to Senior High School. The candidates were asked questions in regard to leadership, commitment, challenges, and personal insights, each of which they answered with courage and sincerity. Their responses have been documented, and SAS Courier was granted full permission to publicly share them with the student body.

Following the official release of election results last March 30, 2026, which has officially declared the newly elected student leaders for the School Year 2026-2027, SAS Courier now publishes the questions asked alongside the answers provided by these capable individuals. This aims to give the student body a clearer understanding of what the new Supreme Student Government stands for, the values they aim to uphold, and their vision of what the future could potentially be for the entire student body.

SAS Courier extends our warmest congratulations to our newly elected student leaders! May your leadership inspire positive change and foster a stronger, more united school community; continue leading with integrity, wit, and passion.

As this content is shared publicly, we kindly remind everyone to remain respectful when engaging in any comments or discussions. The responses presented in this feature were shared with the full consent of the students involved. The candidates were given a limited amount of time to answer each question, and as such, minor grammatical errors may be present due to the pressure the situation holds. And to add, it is important to note that all responses reflect the personal opinions and perspectives of the students.

The Diocese of Paranaque - Educational System (DOP-ES) formally closed its Sportsfest 2026 with a closing and awarding ceremony on February 7, 2026. Teachers, coaches, and student-athletes from all 8 DOP-ES Member schools gathered at the St. Andrewโ€™s School Gymnasium to receive their corresponding accolades and recognitions for their excellence and dedication across their respective sports fields.

Our very own Mr. Lord Celeste E. Balo, St. Andrew's School, Inc. and Sta. Rita de Cascia Parochial School Principal, delivered the opening remarks of the program. He emphasized the importance of retaining respect and upholding fairness in the heat of a game, adding that this does not only reflect a good student-athlete but also a responsible individual as well. He reminded everyone that the DOP-ES sportsfest is more than just sporting events taking place. It is also about how these games are held and played with fairness and sportsmanship, and how Catholic values are shown and instilled as student-athletes play for their respective Catholic schools.

The Palanyag Dance Troupe also gave an electrifying and energizing intermission performance, showcasing their excellence, passion, and talent for dancing not just to their fellow Andreans but to our friends across the various DOP-ES Member schools as well.

From the fierce and physical bumps and crashes in the basketball events to the suicidal chases and dives for the ball and the power spikes in the volleyball events, all winning student-athletes were given their awards for pouring their hearts out on their respective courts to go for the victory they have been training and seeking for. St. Andrewโ€™s School, Inc. successfully defends its Overall Champion title for the high school level, showcasing that the blue dolphins are a formidable force to be reckoned with.

Congratulations to all student-athletes! Win or Lose, to give up you refused. Real victory does not only mean bringing home the trophy. Rather, it is in the feeling of inner satisfaction wherein you know you gave your all and poured your heart out on the floor. To all Andrean student-athletes, may you never forget to instill the Andrean core values while you play on the court and may you continue doing so with love and excellence. Go, go for victory, Andreans fight! Lumba lumba, laban laban!

February 7, 2026, the men and women volleyball teams of St. Andrewโ€™s School showcased their skills, strength, and passion for the game. This match was not only a reflection of the long and tiring hours of practice, the quiet sacrifices they endured, and the shared dreams of our athletes have, for it is also a mark of their determination and team spirit.
