Paraňaque National High School–Baclaran proudly served as the venue for the 8th Division Management Committee (MANCOM) Meeting held on September 22, 2026, hosted by School District 7, the Technical Working Group (TWG) for this month’s gathering.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our School Principal, Mrs. Veronica M. Francisco, and our Assistant to the Principal, Mr. Gerfel O. Chan, for their support and leadership in this significant event.

A LEADER WHO ALWAYS HAD OUR BACK ❤️

As we bid a heartfelt send-off to our beloved School Principal, Dr. Gerry C. Catchillar, we celebrate not only the leader he has been, but also the person who has touched the lives of so many in the PNHS-Baclaran community.

Thank you, Sir Gerry, for your leadership, unwavering support, and genuine care for every teacher and school personnel. You have always been the kind of leader who never leaves anyone behind, someone who listens, guides, motivates, and, most importantly, always has our back.

You were the leader we could count on. In times when we needed support, you stood with us. When things became challenging, you never made us feel that we were facing them alone. You encouraged us to do better, pushed us to grow, and inspired us to give our best.

Your systematic, purposeful, and dedicated way of leading has helped make our school environment more organized, positive, and progressive. The way you did your job, with commitment and excellence, naturally inspired the people around you to do better as well.

And beyond being our principal, you became a father, a brother, and a friend. Your genuine concern for the people you lead made a difference. You cared not only about the work we did, but also about the people behind that work.

You have left an impact that goes beyond programs, systems, and accomplishments. Your leadership has become part of the culture and spirit of our school.

As you begin this new chapter, please know that PNHS-Baclaran will always be grateful for the years, the lessons, the support, and the memories you shared with us.

And yes, Sir Gerry, we'll be waiting and hoping that one day, you'll find your way back to us. ❤️

Because leaders like you may move on to another assignment, but the people you have supported, inspired, and cared for will never forget you.

Thank you for always having our backs. Thank you for never letting us down. Thank you for leading not just with authority, but with heart.

Until our paths cross again, Sir Gerry.

You will always have a home and a family here at PNHS-Baclaran. ❤️

DAY 2 | INSET 2026

The second day of the PNHS-Baclaran In-Service Training (INSET) 2026 continued through MS Teams, focusing on the practical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence in teaching and assessment.

Participants explored AI-Assisted Slide Decks with Ms. Charriz Anne D. Puertollano, using various AI tools to create engaging and competency-aligned instructional materials.

Mrs. Luzviminda M. Macugay facilitated the session on AI-Assisted Assessment Development, guiding teachers in creating and refining test questionnaires while emphasizing alignment with learning competencies, cognitive demands, and DepEd standards.

As the training came to a close, participants were reminded that AI is a tool to support, not replace, the teacher’s expertise, creativity, and professional judgment.

DAY 1 | INSET 2026

The first day of the PNHS-Baclaran In-Service Training (INSET) 2026 brought together our teachers and personnel for a meaningful day of learning, collaboration, and innovation.

The opening program was led by Dr. Gerry C. Catchillar, School Principal IV, who emphasized the vital role of teachers as facilitators of meaningful learning and catalysts for continuous improvement.

The technical sessions focused on School-Based Action Research and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in research. Facilitated by Ms. Victoria L. Posadas, Mrs. Winnie Beth C. Asturias, and Mr. Romulo A. Ato, Jr., participants identified classroom-based research problems, developed and enhanced research proposals, explored AI-assisted research strategies, and engaged in peer review and validation.

From classroom concerns to researchable problems, and from ideas to actionable proposals, Day 1 marked another step toward more reflective, innovative, and evidence-based teaching practice.
