Matthew 20:1-16
The Overwhelming, Crazy Love of God
Kapatid, let’s be honest. You would feel cheated.
But here is the beautiful, mind-blowing truth: God does not run His Kingdom like a corporate business. God runs His Kingdom like a deeply loving Family.
You see, the first workers had a scarcity mindset and a mercenary heart. They calculated their sweat, their hours, and their sacrifice, expecting God to love them more because they worked harder.
We fall into the trap of "performance-based religion." Akala natin, God will only bless us if we are perfect.
But our Father is an all-out, radically generous Provider! When the Master went out at 5:00 PM, hindi Siya naghahanap ng dagdag na trabahador dahil kulang Siya sa tao. He went out because He saw hurting people who had nothing to bring home to their children. He didn't hire them because they were highly skilled; He hired them because He cared for them.
Stop comparing your blessings! Instead of grumbling that the latecomers got the same reward, we should be celebrating!
Bakit? Because the truth is, tayo lahat ay mga 11th-hour laborers. None of us deserve His grace.
Today, let go of that heavy, religious contract mindset. The fact that you are inside His vineyard, working close to His heart all day long, is already the biggest blessing and reward of your life. Trust His generous heart. He has more than enough love, more than enough joy, and more than enough blessings for every single one of us!
