Pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 491 (Nutrition Act of the Philippines) and DepEd Memorandum No. 208, s. 2006, Balungay Elementary School celebrated the 52nd Nutrition Month throughout July 2026 with the theme "Food and Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!"

To comply with the DepEd No Class Disruption Policy, most of the activities were integrated into classroom instruction while ensuring uninterrupted learning.

The celebration commenced with a Wellness Dance during the weekly flag ceremony and as part of the daily classroom motivation, encouraging learners to stay physically active and develop healthy habits.

Various classroom-based activities were conducted, including the Poster Making Contest, Fruit and Vegetable Day, Mosaic Making Contest, Slogan Making Contest, Coloring Activity, and the Nutritious Food Hat Activity. These activities promoted healthy eating, food and nutrition security, creativity, and learners' appreciation of nutritious foods.

Teachers incorporated nutrition concepts into their daily lessons, while parents supported the activities by helping learners prepare the necessary materials. Through the collaborative efforts of the school administration, teachers, parents, and learners, the month-long celebration was successfully implemented.

Balungay Elementary School remains committed to promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and the holistic well-being of every learner through meaningful and engaging school-based activities.
