They say, the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrowโbut the truth is, it is time to stop waiting for tomorrow.
Throughout the world, young people live in different places, communities, cultures and circumstances. Some face poverty, discrimination, and limited opportunities. Others engage in peer pressure, inequality, environmental challenges and the other pressures of an increasingly altering world.
We, the youth, may be differentโbut our aspirations are remarkably similar.
Every August 12, ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ฌ๐ผ๐๐๐ต ๐๐ฎ๐ is an annual observance of the United Nations to highlight the youth issues around the world. It is a reminder that every voice, action, and ideas matter today. This occasion is not just a simple celebrationโIt is a powerful call to recognize the potential of the youth. Despite the different backgrounds and facing different realities, they are already capable of shaping our community, facing greatest challenges, and sharing common dignity, inclusion, and aspirations.
With this year's theme,
reminded us how young people face diverse national realities yet share unified goals for dignity, inclusion, and a sustainable future.
Because no matter where we come from, what we are, or what challenges we faceโwe share one hope: a brighter tommorow where every young individual has a voice, a place, and a chance to be succeed.
