From a shared vision scribbled on paper to an officially recognized force for inclusivity and equality, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Today, we celebrate a monumental milestone: the formal accreditation of the Gender and Development (GAD) Alliance! ๐๐
They say that building something meant to last requires a foundation tested by fire. When we first set out to establish the GAD Alliance, we knew the road wouldnโt be easy, but we didnโt realize just how much our resilience would be tested.
โBut advocacy isn't fueled by convenience; itโs fueled by passion. Every time the doors seemed to close, our community pushed them back open. We remembered the students who needed a safe space, the voices that needed amplifying, and the culture of inclusivity we wanted to leave behind for the campus. Today, holding this official accreditation, we realize that every single tear, setback, and sleepless night was the exact forge that made the GAD Alliance unbreakable. We didn't just pass an evaluationโwe built a legacy. ๐
This milestone is a beautiful mosaic of collective effort. We extend our deepest, most profound gratitude to the pillars of our community who believed in our mission and paved the way for our success:
โTo our Municipal Mayor Honorable Mayor Gerald A. Aritao, thank you for your overarching vision for a progressive, inclusive, and gender-fair community. Your support gives our advocacy wings beyond the campus walls.
โTo our Municipal Vice Mayor Honorable Rianne May Diaz, thank you for your inspiring leadership and for always championing initiatives that uplift the youth and empower diverse sectors.
โTo the Sangguniang Bayan Members especially to the Education Committee Honorable CJ Ader , thank you for your legislative guidance and for constantly ensuring that programs promoting equity and social development are prioritized and supported.
โTo our College Administrator Dr. Kevin Jack A. Sario, thank you for keeping the steady hand that guided our institution, for your administrative support, and for opening the doors that allowed this alliance to flourish.
โTo our OSAS Coordinator Sir Rex Diaz, thank you for looking out for our welfare, guiding us through the rigorous institutional processes, and ensuring our student organization found its rightful home.
โTo our incumbent SSC President Sir JH De Guia, thank you for your peer leadership, for standing alongside us as student leaders, and for fostering a campus environment where diverse student initiatives can thrive.
โLastly, to our dearest GADA Adviser Ma'am Harby Sinag Olvinar โ maraming, maraming salamat po sa lahat.
โThank you for not giving up on us, even when we were close to giving up on ourselves. Your tireless effort, your patience through lahat ng pinagdaanan namin, and your unwavering belief in our potential kept us afloat during the darkest days of this process. You didn't just serve as an adviser; you were our shield, our mentor, and our biggest cheerleader. This victory belongs to you just as much as it belongs to the student body. We love you and appreciate you more than words can express! ๐ซโจ
โThe paperwork is finished, the accreditation is secure, but our real work has just begun. Together, letโs advance gender equality, mainstream inclusivity, and make a lasting impact! โค
