A Joyous Welcome to the Apostolic Nuncio and Our New Bishop

The Holy Child Academy community warmly welcomed His Excellency, The Most Reverend Charles John Brown, D.D., Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, together with Most Rev. Nick Argel Vaquilar, D.D., S.T.H.D., the Fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Urdaneta, during the celebration of the Holy Mass of the Canonical Possession and Solemn Installation held on July 28, 2026, at the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.

Students, faculty, staff, and representatives from various Diocesan Schools of Urdaneta gathered with joy and reverence to witness this historic occasion. As the Apostolic Nuncio arrived, he was warmly received by the faithful, while the newly installed bishop was welcomed with heartfelt applause and prayers as he officially began his pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Urdaneta.

The solemn celebration served as a powerful reminder of the Church's unity, faith, and mission. Through the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio, who represented the Holy Father, and the installation of our new shepherd, the faithful were inspired to continue living the Gospel with renewed hope and commitment.

As one diocesan family, the Holinians proudly joined in this memorable celebration, offering prayers and support for Bishop Nick Argel Vaquilar as he begins his journey of leading the Diocese with wisdom, humility, and love.

May God continue to bless our new bishop, the Diocese of Urdaneta, and all the faithful as we move forward together in faith and service.

The Holinians Volleyball Team showcased grit, determination, and passion during our friendly tune-up game against our sister school, Our Lady of Lilies Academy.

Guided by the values of Wisdom and Charity, both teams displayed exceptional sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect throughout the match. Beyond the competition, this scrimmage became an opportunity to learn from one another, strengthen our skills, and foster the bond between our two schools.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Lilians for their warm hospitality, generosity, and kindness in making this meaningful game possible. Your compassion and camaraderie truly exemplify the spirit of friendship through sports.

Together, we play. Together, we learn. Together, we grow stronger as one DSU community.

As our school held its monthly Sunday Parish Mass Sponsor, a double milestone unfolded as the school family united in faith for the Episcopal Mass and Blessing Ceremony. Students, teachers, parishioners, and the faithful community gathered together to officially open the new Multi-Purpose Hall and to honor Bishop Emeritus Jack with a deeply meaningful farewell tribute.
