Theme: “When I Grow Up, I Want to Be…”

San Guinto Integrated School

San Guinto Integrated School conducted its Monthly BASA Gallery Walk with the theme “When I Grow Up, I Want to Be…”, an engaging literacy activity designed to encourage learners to develop their reading skills while expressing their dreams and aspirations for the future.

The activity provided learners with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and imagination through their chosen professions. Each learner prepared a simple presentation or artwork illustrating what they wanted to become when they grow up. The gallery was displayed in a designated area of the school, creating an inviting and meaningful space where learners could walk around, read, observe, and appreciate the dreams of their fellow pupils.

Through the gallery walk, learners were encouraged to read the names, descriptions, and aspirations presented by their classmates. The activity helped strengthen their reading comprehension, vocabulary, communication skills, and confidence while making reading more enjoyable and meaningful. It also allowed learners to connect their reading experiences with their personal goals and dreams.

The theme “When I Grow Up, I Want to Be…” reminded learners that every dream begins with imagination, determination, and learning. As they viewed the different aspirations displayed in the gallery, they were inspired to think about their own future and understand the importance of education in achieving their goals.

The activity also promoted a supportive learning environment where learners could celebrate one another’s dreams regardless of the profession they chose. 3RD QUARTER NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL 2026

San Guinto Integrated School actively participated in the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026, strengthening our school community’s preparedness and readiness in times of emergencies.

During the drill, our Junior Emergency Response Unit (JERU) put their knowledge and skills into action as they demonstrated proper emergency response, evacuation, first aid, rescue, and disaster preparedness procedures. Their active participation showcased the importance of being trained, alert, and ready to respond when calamities occur.

Through this activity, our learners were given an opportunity to practice the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, safe evacuation, and coordinated emergency response—skills that can help protect lives during an actual earthquake or other disasters.

👏 Kudos to our JERU members, learners, teachers, and school personnel for their cooperation and commitment to building a safer and more disaster-resilient school community!

A Heartfelt Thank You!

Our sincerest gratitude to our ever-supportive Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) for making time, despite your very busy schedule, to grace and support the 1st Regional Presentation of Indigenous Knowledge Systems and Practices (IKSP) per Indigenous Cultural Community here in Kisolon.

Your presence meant so much to us. More than just being there to witness and support the event, you also took the time to invite us to experience one of Kisolon’s precious gems — the beautiful Alalum Falls. 🌿💦

And yes… the falls were breathtaking, but the journey definitely made us sweat, catch our breath, and question our life choices for a moment! 😂😅 But every step was worth it. The experience, the laughter, the scenery, and the memories we made will surely be treasured.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the School Heads of Pangantucan West and Pangantucan North Districts for your unwavering support, presence, and cooperation. Your support truly makes activities like this more meaningful and successful.
