April Fool's Day, observed on April 1st, is a cultural tradition that promotes humor, mischief, and doubt about information. It brings people together through shared laughter, and flips social roles.

While it serves as a lighthearted day for amusement, where societal norms are briefly suspended to allow for laughter and practical jokes, the day also acts as a reminder that people are easily tricked by narratives they want to believe, prompting a more cautious approach to news and information.

Accordingly, it advocates critical thinking.🤗

Weekly value focus: REPENTANCE

Repentance is the feeling of regret and action to make up for misdeeds. It is the admission and recognition of one's mistake and the decision to reform. It is followed by the sincere action to restitute after the commission of the sin or wrongdoing.

When you have knowingly or unknowingly committed sinful or unlawful acts, resolve within yourself to be quick to repent. But remember, genuine repentance is not just feeling sorry, but a commitment to changing behavior.

Weekly value focus: SUBMISSIVENESS

Submissiveness means willingly humbling oneself to authority, whether in relationships, the workplace, or spiritual settings. It stems from love and respect. This attitude creates "power under control," promoting peace, order, and harmony, instead of appearing weak or forced.

Submissiveness is seen as a "hidden" strength. It can help create a more respectful and organized atmosphere in families and workplaces.

𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙞-𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡 March 04, 2026

A seminar on 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙞-𝙗𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 was held among Grades 8, 9 and 10 of CMIKS on March 4, 2026.
The goal of the said activity is to teach students how to safely intervene and stand up to bullying, and encourage them to report incidents to trusted adults.

The activity highlighted an impromptu poster-making related to bullying.

Career guidance is a lifelong process that helps individuals evaluate their strengths, interests, and values to make informed choices about education, and careers.

The CMI Guidance Center held an activity on February 26, 2026 among Grade 12 SHS students that involved self-interest assessment to explore their career options and help them set career goals.

Heads from various academic departments excitedly showcased key features of their respective program, much to the students’ delight!

In order to cultivate understanding and improve relationships, a child needs to be aware of their parent's approach to parenting.

Last February 16, 2026, a classroom seminar titled Perceived Parenting Style and How It Affects Teenagers was held among Grade 11 of CMIKS. It is followed by a short but meaningful open forum.

Weekly Value Focus: DECISIVENESS

Decisiveness in students is a critical skill, transforming critical thinking into confident, independent action, improving academic performance, and enabling effective career planning.

Developing this skill allows students to analyze, identify, and execute solutions to problems while taking responsibility for the consequences.

A debriefing activity took place at the CMI-GCC on February 8, 2026. The goal was to encourage deep learning and assist immersonists in applying their experiences. The activity also fostered self-reflection.

Effective debriefing focuses on the students, allowing them to feel safe while they review their performance and learn from their experiences.

Weekly Value Focus: ACCOUNTABILITY

Accountability reminds us how important it is to take responsibility for our actions and their outcomes. It involves being honest with ourselves and others. We must own our successes and mistakes, using them as opportunity to grow.

Practicing accountability builds trust, strengthens teamwork, and helps us meet our goals. It pushes us to keep our commitments and face challenges with a proactive attitude. On a personal level, it promotes self-discipline, improves decision-making, and helps us stay true to our values.

𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 | January 28, 2026

Peer pressure among student is a unique stage of life. It is significant to identify the right peers that could contribute to the overall positive well-being of every individual. Peer pressure in school may increase growing desire to seek both positive and negative influences on behavior.

Last January 28, 2026, the CMI Guidance Center together with the Grade 12 Humanities and Social Sciences work immersion students facilitated a seminar about "𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚" among Grade 11 - TVL, Grade 11 - STEM, BS Accountancy - 1A, and BS Business Administration - 1B to captivate students about the holistic view and role of peer pressure.

This seminar was held at the CMI Auditorium and graced by the Director of the Office of Student Affairs and Services Dr. Jober Reyes, who emphasized that people are naturally seeking for a safe company that shares a positive outlook in life.
