INVESTING IN EXCELLENCE: SCHOOL-BASED INSET AT MASAGANA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Education is a lifelong journey—and for the teachers of Masagana Elementary School, that journey continues with renewed passion, purpose, and professional growth! Today, our school came alive with learning, collaboration, and shared vision as we held our School-Based In-Service Training (INSET)—a dedicated time set aside to hone our craft, refresh our practices, and align our efforts toward even better learning outcomes for our beloved learners.
We were truly honored to learn from two exceptional educators who lead not just by example, but by experience and heart:
MR. MARCELO A. JACINTO JR., PhD, opened the training with an inspiring and grounding session. With clear vision and heartfelt commitment, he guided us through our school’s priorities, curriculum updates, and the core values that bind us as one Masagana family. He reminded us that great leadership begins with great teaching, and that every decision we make must always center on what is best for our learners. His words reinforced that we are not just colleagues—we are a team, a community, and a driving force for change in our students’ lives.
MRS. ANDREA G. GALMAN, we were also privileged to learn from our very own Master Teacher I, whose expertise, dedication, and years of exemplary service have long been a beacon for all of us. She shared practical, classroom-tested strategies, innovative teaching approaches, and deep insights into effective lesson delivery, classroom management, and assessment. Her sessions were rich with real-world examples, encouraging us to be creative, adaptable, and always growing as educators. It was a powerful reminder that experience paired with passion creates the most meaningful impact in the classroom.
It wasn’t just about listening—it was about exchanging ideas, asking questions, solving problems together, and building stronger bonds as a faculty. Every session was filled with rich conversations, laughter, and the collective desire to do better, be better, for the children we serve.
“Teaching is not just a profession—it is a calling. And like all great journeys, it requires us to pause, reflect, learn, and grow. This INSET is more than just a requirement—it is an investment in YOU, in your craft, and in the thousands of young minds that look up to you every day.”
