LEAD with Care: Leadership and Mental Health Awareness for Young Leaders 💙🌱

Rodrigo D. Mabitad Sr. Elementary School proudly conducted “LEAD with Care: Leadership and Mental Health Awareness for Young Leaders” on August 1, 2026, through a meaningful partnership activity with the PEERKADA Organization.

The activity provided young leaders with an inspiring space to learn, reflect, and grow through four important topics:

🌟 Leadership — Mariel Retes
💙 Empathy — Earle Gerard D. Rendon, Mariel Retes, and Stefan Pol

The session was made engaging and meaningful through the dynamic facilitators:

👤 Earle Gerard D. Rendon — PEERKADA President and Certified Life Skills and Self-Discovery Coach
👤 Stefan Pol — AB Psychology Student and PEERKADA Ambassador
👤 Mariel Retes — Senior High School Student of MCPI and PEERKADA Ambassador/Facilitator

Through meaningful discussions and interactive activities, our young leaders were reminded that effective leadership begins with knowing and accepting oneself, taking care of one’s mental and emotional well-being, understanding one’s role as a leader, and showing empathy toward others. 🫶

This initiative is part of the Guidance Program of Rodrigo D. Mabitad Sr. Elementary School, spearheaded by Mary Jean C. Apa-ap, School Guidance Advocate, under the leadership of Mrs. Rubbie G. Labanon, Principal III, with the support of Juliet D. Raganas, RGC, Division Guidance Coordinator.

The activity highlights the school’s continuing commitment to nurturing holistic, compassionate, resilient, and mentally healthy young leaders who are ready to make a positive difference in their school and community. 🌱✨

The 2nd Dnpmfc Malitbog personnel is this year's tutor in the implementation of the ARAL Program.

The roll out implementation started today, July 20, 2026. The PNP personnel handled the ARAL Program recipients who came from Grade 4 to grade 6 class.

The tutorial services given by the police women from the 2nd company of the Mobile Force under the direct supervision of the Force Commander Kristopher A. SABSAL is scheduled every Monday and Tuesday of the week.

To prepare the School Personnel and students of Rodrigo D. Mabitad Sr. Elementary School of New Malitbog, Panabo City for an inevitable fire incident, the Bureau of Fire Protection from Nanyo, Panabo City conducted a "School Fire Safety Awareness and Emergency Response Training" this July 20, 2026 at the School Gym.

The School Staff and students were given different important safety protocols on how to act if fire breaks at school. Emergency responses were laid before the participants during the training. Also, the proper handling of fire extinguisher was also given.

M. Gariola with the direct supervision of the School , Rubbie G. LABANON.

Back to Back Anti- Bullying and Anti- Drugs Symposium at Rodrigo D. Mabitad Sr. Elementary School facilitated by the 13 SPECIAL ACTION COMPANY (13SAC), 1st SAB, PNP- SAF which is led by PCPT ENRICH P. SOLIVEN, the Company Commander, and PSMS NIVA C. TORRES, and PCPL PRIZE FRANCICO of 2nd Dnpmfc Malitbog which is led by PLTCOL KRISTOFFER. A. SABSAL, the Force Commander on July 2, 2026 to the Grade 4 to Grade 6 learners with the supervision of the School Principal RUBBIE G. LABANON.

The recent shooting incident in a school at Tacloban City was allegedly caused by bullying that the suspect had experienced from his classmates. This raised a serious concern to every institution which supposedly
honing the learners young minds into a god-fearing, responsible and accountable citizen has become, somehow a target of criminality.

Indeed, it takes a village in raising a child, therefore, our partners and stakeholders from the the PNP helped us in educating our young learners the cause and the effect of both bullying and drug abuse which could relate to criminality.

School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Orientation for parents and other stakeholder was successfully conducted on July 3,2026 . The activity aimed to strengthen collaboration and shared responsibility in promoting the health, nutrition, and academic success of our learners.

The orientation was facilitated by Maria Ezcelmay Cabaylo, Registered Nurse of the SDO Panabo City, together with Michael J. Pontilar, Administrative Officer and SBFP Focal Person of RDMSES. They discussed the objectives, implementation guidelines, and importance of the School-Based Feeding Program in improving the nutritional status and overall well-being of identified learners.

The activity also emphasized the invaluable role of parents and stakeholders in ensuring the successful implementation of the program through their active participation, cooperation, and continued support.

RD Mabitad Sr. Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Maria Ezcelmay Cabaylo, RN, Sir Michael J. Pontilar, REE, our parents, stakeholders, and the entire school community for their unwavering support. The school likewise acknowledges the leadership of Mrs. Rubbie G. Labanon, School Principal III, whose commitment continues to inspire programs that promote the health and welfare of every learner.

RD Mabitad Sr. Elementary School successfully conducted a Free Medical Check-Up for kindergarten learners, all grade levels, and the teaching and non-teaching personnel, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the health and well-being of the entire school community.

The activity was facilitated by the SDO Panabo City Medical Team, headed by Dr. Theresa Hintay, in collaboration with the division nurses, and in full support of the school administration under the leadership of Mrs. Rubbie G. Labanon, School Principal III.

This health initiative underscores the importance of preventive healthcare and the shared responsibility of ensuring that learners and school personnel remain healthy, safe, and ready to achieve academic excellence.
