𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Kasilak National High School proudly marks a significant milestone with the successful turnover and acceptance of the Science in a Box, a container-based science laboratory facility generously donated by The Marsman-Drysdale Foundation, Inc., (MDFI).

The project was formally presented by Ms. Yvonne L. Biyo, Executive Director of MDFI, and accepted on behalf of the Department of Education, Schools Division of Panabo City, by Dr. Jinky B. Firman, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, duly represented by Mr. Janwario E. Yamota, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID).

As the first facility of its kind in the DepEd Panabo City, the Science in a Box provides a modern and functional learning environment where learners can engage in hands-on and inquiry-based scientific exploration. This development is especially timely as Kasilak NHS begins offering the Senior High School Academic Track, further strengthening its commitment to quality and relevant education.

The school extends its sincerest gratitude to Marsman Drysdale Foundation, Inc. for its generosity and shared vision of making science education more accessible, engaging, and meaningful for every learner. This remarkable project will undoubtedly inspire curiosity, innovation, and a deeper appreciation for science among present and future generations of Kasilakians.

The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Avelino D. Bitang, Public Schools District Supervisor; Ms. Cezen M. Paculanang, Education Program Supervisor in TLE/SHS Division Focal; Hon. Rosalie P. Gentiles, Barangay Captain of Kasilak; and Hon. Natividad R. Pentason, Education Committee Chairperson, whose continued support contributes to the advancement of educational opportunities in the community.

Adding significance to the occasion was the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Officers for School Year 2026–2027, reaffirming the partnership between the school, parents, stakeholders, and the community in fostering learner success.

Kasilak National High School, headed by Sir Chindy F. Bitoy, remains deeply grateful to all partners and stakeholders who continue to invest in the future of our learners.

Together, we move forward in creating better opportunities and brighter possibilities through quality education.

Kasilak National High School successfully conducted its General and Homeroom PTA Meetings under the Three-Term Structure, led by Sir Chindy F. Bitoy, School In-Charge.

Highlights of the event include the recognition of WATCH Awardees, presentation of school accomplishments, orientation on school policies, and the election of new PTA and HPTA officers.

We sincerely thank all parents and guardians for your active participation and support. Special appreciation is also extended to Ma’am Aizzle Jane Lamzon Asumbrado & Family, for their generosity and donation during the event.

As classes resumed following the temporary suspension caused by the recent earthquake, Kasilak National High School successfully conducted the Beginning-of-the-School-Year (BOSY) Assessment on June 10–11, 2026.

Junior High School learners underwent the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) and Rapid Math Assessment (RMA), while Senior High School students took the Literacy and Numeracy Knowledge (LiNK) Test. These assessments provide baseline data on learners’ reading, numeracy, and learning competencies, enabling teachers to plan appropriate interventions and deliver responsive instruction throughout the school year.

Kasilak National High School officially welcomed its learners for School Year 2026–2027 with joy, hope, and excitement for a new beginning.

While our first day was unexpectedly interrupted by a strong earthquake, we are grateful that all our learners, teachers, and personnel remained safe. We thank the Almighty Father for His protection and guidance during this challenging moment. We also commend our teachers and staff for their calm response and commitment to ensuring the safety of every learner.

Classes may have been suspended, but our spirit remains strong. We look forward to continuing this school year with faith, resilience, and hope for brighter days ahead.
