As we celebrated Valentine's Day and officially ended the 66th Founding Anniversary of MCPI, the Socio-Pastoral student volunteers, the SocCom team, teachers, and club representatives came together last Saturday for a tree-planting activity at Brgy. Upper Licanan, Riverbank Area—planting not just trees, but hope for a greener future.

“𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐆𝐔𝐍"

This Ash Wednesday, we attend Mass and receive ashes on our foreheads. Truly, the religious devotion of Filipinos is very much alive. This liveliness is noticeable through the rituals and rubrics performed and observed the our devotion. A ritual is the actual ceremony of worship- the imposition of ashes, the celebration of the Mass, the lighting of candles. Rubrics, on the other hand, the guidelines on how the ritual should be carried out: they are written in red letters in liturgical books indicating what the priest, ministers, or assembly should do. In simple terms: the ritual is the act, and the rubricsare the directions for that act.
