A Milestone Worth Celebrating: Successful Validation of School Reading Implementation

Our school proudly celebrates another milestone as the School Reading Implementation and Validation of Data on Grade Ready and Independent Readers was successfully conducted. This important activity aimed to ensure the accuracy of our reading data and to assess how effectively our reading programs are being implemented in the school.

During the validation process, the team carefully reviewed the data presented by the school, particularly the reported number of Grade Ready and Independent Readers. We are proud to share that all submitted data were validated as correct, reflecting the diligence, honesty, and hard work of our teachers in monitoring and documenting the reading progress of our learners.

Even more inspiring is the improvement shown in the reading levels of our learners, which clearly demonstrates that the collective efforts of our teachers in implementing reading interventions and programs are making a meaningful difference.

Another highlight of the validation was the assessment of our school reading implementation, where our school proudly achieved the “In-Placed” status with a perfect score of 20/20. This recognition affirms that the systems, strategies, and initiatives being implemented by the school are effectively supporting the development of learners’ reading skills.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of our teachers, who continuously give their time, patience, and commitment to helping every child learn to read and read to learn.

The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to all teachers and stakeholders who contributed to this success. Your passion and dedication continue to inspire and uplift our learners.

Together, let us continue strengthening our reading programs and empowering every learner to become a confident and independent reader.

This afternoon, following the suspension of face-to-face classes, and after ensuring that our learners were provided with their scheduled ADM activities in the morning, our teachers gathered for a meaningful Focus Group Discussion / SLAC session on understanding and crafting our Individual Development Plans (IDP) aligned with the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) of the Department of Education.

As SLAC Coordinator and mentor, I am grateful for the openness, honesty, and active participation of everyone. We reflected on our ESAT results, identified areas for professional growth, and supported one another in setting clear, realistic, and purposeful development goals.

Rather than letting the afternoon pass, we chose to make it productive — transforming an unexpected pause into an opportunity for reflection, collaboration, and professional growth.

At Sto. Niño Elementary School, learning continues — for our learners and for us educators.
