PCESSC’s Special Program in the Arts Holds First-Ever Summer Recital

Panabo Central Elementary School–SPED Center Special Program in the Arts successfully held its first-ever Summer Recital on May 18, 2026, at the school gymnasium. The event highlighted the talents of young learners in the fields of Vocal and Visual Arts.

The program was made possible through the initiative of Ma’am Christine S. Fuentes, who spearheaded the month-long undertaking and invited young artists to mentor and guide the pupils in their chosen art forms. The summer classes began in April and were participated in by Grades 4 to 6 pupils, with 14 learners enrolled in Vocal Arts and 21 learners pursuing Visual Arts.

As one of the school’s emerging curricular programs, the SPA has only been implemented for two years. Despite being relatively new, the program continues to provide learners with meaningful opportunities to develop their artistic skills, build confidence, and gain valuable experiences in the arts.

The recital received strong support from the school administration led by School Principal Ma’am Roselle N. Pasaporte and Assistant Principal Ma’am Anna Mae T. Fuentes, along with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders who attended the event. Also present during the recital were respected professionals in the field of performing arts, including Mr. Neal Keith Gonzales, a vocal specialist and award-winning choir conductor, and Ms. Sylvia Alolo, a vocal coach and owner of the CALLED School of Performing Arts. Their presence further inspired and encouraged the young performers to continue nurturing their passion and talent in the arts.

Furthermore, the successful conduct of the first Summer Recital marks another milestone for PCESSC-SPA in promoting artistic excellence and holistic development among learners. Truly, this is only the first of many meaningful opportunities that will continue to nurture young artists, inspire creativity, and showcase the immense potential of the school’s talented learners in the years to come.
