The event was led by School Principal Sir Renie T. Capuyan, who delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of perseverance and the school’s mission to ensure that no learner is left behind.

Meanwhile, ARAL Coordinator Ma’am Gianinna P. Alcober provided an overview of the program, emphasizing its goals in addressing learning gaps and strengthening students’ foundational skills through targeted interventions.

The strong turnout and active participation of parents and learners reflected the community’s support for the initiative, marking a promising start for this year’s remediation program.

Spanning from May 6 to June 2, 2026, the program is now officially underway.

The celebration began at 7:30 a.m. with a parade and assembly, followed by the opening program, which featured a doxology and the singing of the national anthem. An audio-visual presentation highlighted the school’s milestones and historical background, tracing its development over the past three decades.
Principal Renie T. Capuyan, MED, delivered the welcome remarks, emphasizing the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development and underscoring the importance of resilience, collaboration, and sustained educational quality in shaping future-ready learners.

A ceremonial candle blowing, cake slicing, and wine toasting were held to symbolize gratitude for the institution’s continued growth and achievements. Messages of support were also delivered by Barangay Captain, Hon. Lilibeth T. Albit, and PTA President Mona S. Albiola, reaffirming the strong partnership between the school and the community.

The program also included a raffle draw featuring major and minor prizes, adding excitement to the celebration. The presentation of cheerleading competition guidelines preceded the cheerleading competition proper, where all grade levels showcased their performances. The event concluded with various sports activities as part of the school’s Sportsfest.
The 2nd Grand Alumni Homecoming served as a highlight of the celebration, providing former students the opportunity to reconnect with classmates and teachers while revisiting their alma mater.

Now in its 34th year, Malativas National High School continues to uphold its mission of delivering quality education while strengthening ties among stakeholders and the wider community.

Malativas National High School officially began its Early Registration for School Year 2026–2027 through a successful opening activity. As part of the launch, teachers and staff conducted a community information drive by visiting the different puroks of Barangay Malativas, Panabo City, to inform parents and learners about the registration process.

The activity was made successful through the collective efforts of the faculty and staff, led by the School Principal, Sir Renie T. Capuyan, with support from the school’s Guidance Advocate, Ma’am Fatima Limbaga. Their leadership and commitment helped ensure a smooth and organized start to the early registration process.

This initiative reflects the school’s dedication to reaching learners in the community and promoting access to quality education for all.
